Flirting with my Sketchbook... Drawing a Nigerian Comedian

I was randomly scouring the internet when I stumbled on a picture and it got me. Apart from the fact that it was mostly skin, I could work something with the packs. I found Broda Shaggi, a Nigerian celebrity and a unique one at that, he has made a name for himself among the populace;

I choose Autodesk Sketchbook for this artwork for no reason basically but the artwork actually started like a joke until I saw it to completion and I was wowed by the efforts I put into it

I keep drawing the outline even though I don't keep them. I might as well start scribbling it from now on. I fear for my accuracy though.

I painted the cap and it well..

It pretty much looked like it was going according to plan from this point on. Maybe due to the fact that there's a fully painted cap to motivate me already.

And then this. I actually like hiding the color layer on Autodesk because I use the smudge tool a lot here, to smoothen out the edges.. but on Infinite Painter, I don't hide the color layer. I blend the colors instead with different shades of colour

Then I worked the abs and boom. The shadows were looking a little bit light

I added another layer of shade to it and darkened it further

Then the eyes, highlights and some other details

I then fully painted the bus from the reference photo, painted the chain and added more details.

It was time for the background which was quite tricky for me. I conducted a Google search for Lagos night life and I got this photo. I blurred it out and it did the job
