I’m not too much of a movie person but you’d agree with me that everyone has that one movie that they can watch over and over again and of course that includes me (sometimes). It makes me wonder, what if I had to choose the best of the best from the few movies I’ve seen?

How would I Rank it?

Here’s me ranking the movies that have made the biggest impact on me.

Number 5: God Calling I know there’s a Hollywood version of this movie but I never saw it. I saw the Nollywood version and it brought the message home. I might not have agreed entirely to their ideologies but the actors all understood what was expected of them and they delivered. They didn’t just tell the story, they showed it.

Number 4: Hacksaw Ridge I love this movie because it was based on a true life story and not fictional. It touched my heart that a soldier chose to go to a battle field to do something different: save lives. It’s an incredibly brutal reality but also shows incredible faith. It’s not just a war movie for me.

Number 3: The Lion King Beyond entertainment, I get hooked when a movie carries a message and is able to communicate that message; the Lion King did that for me. No childhood is complete without it, it thought me important lessons of responsibility, obedience and boldness.

Number 2: War Room Yes! I saw this movie many years ago and I loved that they held good values in that movie. From start to finish, the actors didn’t hug or kiss (not that I’m against those), but I was particularly impressed in their ability to pass the message and cause us to connect with the main characters without any “mushiness.”

Number 1: Barbie Series You heard me right. I’m referring to the cartoon. I saw this movies so much that my brothers wanted to destroy our DVD player because my sister and I wouldn’t let them see anything else. This movie has had the most impact in my life. It helped my speaking, my singing, my expressions, and my imagery. It profited me a lot, I must say and all of the pieces put together have contributed in shaping me to the person I am today.
