La dinámica del día a día, en cuanto al tiempo de traslado y de alcanzar el logro de muchas tareas inherentes a la vida diaria, siempre se ve facilitada por la existencia de un vehículo que nos permita cumplir con los tiempos de estar (valga la redundancia), a tiempo en los sitios requeridos. Es así como tener un automóvil, se convierte más que en un lujo, en una gran necesidad, en los tiempos de correr que vivimos últimamente. # Desde que tengo uso de razón, tengo un automóvil. Mi primer carro, a la edad de los 18 años, cuando me fui a cursar estudios universitarios y luego, cuando comencé a trabajar después que me gradué, he tenido otros carros adquiridos a través de mis ganancias en el trabajo. # Mi último auto (el que tengo en la actualidad), es un Hyundai Getz del año 2008, el cual me ha resultado una excelente adquisición en todo sentido. Sin embargo, al ser un automóvil de algunos años de uso, por supuesto, he tenido que hacerle arreglos que me permitan seguir utilizándolo como lo he hecho y sigo haciendo hasta ahora. # >![English Version] > >The dynamics of everyday life, in terms of travel time and reaching the achievement of many tasks inherent to daily life, is always facilitated by the existence of a vehicle that allows us to meet the times to be (redundancy), on time in the required places. Hace una semana, regresando de llevar a mi hijo a su sitio de trabajo, sentí una falla cuando iba andando. El carro comenzó a desacelerarse y a fallar, queriendo apagarse. Tuve que detenerme un momento en un sitio seguro fuera de la vía de circulación, y llamar al mecánico para consultar, quien en este caso, no fue nuestro mecánico de confianza (que se encuentra ausente viajando), sino, al esposo de mi madre que también era nuestro mecánico hasta que se mudó fuera de la ciudad. # Por los signos del carro, me comentó que lo más posible fuera que estaba fallando la pila de la bomba de gasolina y que habría que reemplazarla junto con el filtro respectivo. # Pero entonces, se nos presentaba el gran problema de la ausencia de nuestro mecánico habitual y el pensar en quien pudiera realizar el trabajo en cuestión, ya que, un mecánico de confianza, para los carros, es como el médico de cabecera para los seres humanos, debe existir uno constante al que acudimos siempre. # >![English Version] > >A week ago, returning from taking my son to his workplace, I felt a failure when I was driving. The car started to decelerate and stutter, wanting to shut down. I had to stop for a moment in a safe place out of the way, and call the mechanic to consult, who in this case, was not our trusted mechanic (who is away traveling), but my mother's husband who was also our mechanic until he moved out of town. > >From the signs of the car, he told me that it was most likely that the fuel pump battery was failing and that it would have to be replaced along with the respective filter. > >But then, we had the big problem of the absence of our usual mechanic and the thought of who could perform the work in question, since a trusted mechanic, for cars, is like the family doctor for human beings, there must be a constant one to whom we always go.

Corrimos con la suerte de que, el esposo de mi madre, viajó a nuestra ciudad ese día y, pedimos anticipadamente vía delivery, en un negocio de nuestra confianza, la pila de la bomba y el filtro, todo por un costo de 38 $ y nos los llevaron a la casa directamente. # El reemplazo no fue complicado por lo que pude observar. Sin embargo, todos los trabajos tienen su grado de dificultad, y en la mecánica muchísimo más, ya que cualquier mínimo error, puede causar el mal funcionamiento y fracaso de lo que se esté realizando. El tanque de gasolina del Getz, se encuentra debajo del asiento trasero. El mecánico lo levantó y desatornilló la tapa del tanque, donde se encuentra insertada la bomba de gasolina, el filtro y el sensor de marcaje del nivel de gasolina. # Costó un tanto aflojar los tornillos, pero con un líquido lubricante en spray que llaman Ayudante de Mecánica (así me dijo el mecánico que se llamaba, perdonen mi ignorancia al respecto), cedieron fácilmente, sacando la tapa y haciendo el cambio de la pila en la bomba de gasolina. Se hizo el reemplazo de la pila por la nueva, y también el filtro, que vale acotar que estaba muy sucio quizás por la mala calidad de la gasolina que se expende en la actualidad. # >![English Version] > >We were lucky that my mother's husband traveled to our city that day and we ordered in advance via delivery, in a store we trust, the pump battery and the filter, all for a cost of $38 and they took them directly to our house. > >The replacement was not complicated as far as I could see. However, all jobs have their degree of difficulty, and in mechanics much more, since any slightest error can cause the malfunction and failure of what is being done. The gas tank of the Getz is located under the rear seat. The mechanic lifted it and unscrewed the tank cap, where the fuel pump, the filter and the fuel level sensor are inserted. > >It took a while to loosen the screws, but with a spray lubricant liquid that they call Mechanics Helper (that's what the mechanic told me his name was, forgive my ignorance on the matter), they gave way easily, removing the cover and replacing the battery in the fuel pump. The battery was replaced with the new one, and also the filter, which was very dirty, perhaps due to the poor quality of the gasoline that is currently being sold.

Se colocó todo en su lugar y probamos el carro, el cual presentó una falla al momento del encendido, por lo cual, hubo que desarmar nuevamente la pieza y revisar que pudiera estar ocasionando esto. Al final, se dio cuenta de que uno de los O-Rings (anillo tórico) que van dentro de la pila para hacer un sello hermético y así evitar las fugas del combustible que causan mal funcionamiento, estaba mal puesto y procedió a corregirlo, con lo cual, se logró encender el carro y chequear que todo estaba funcionando bien. # El trabajo quedó estupendo y de hecho, el encendido mejoró mucho así como el funcionamiento en general. En este trabajo, comprobamos que cualquier pieza por más pequeña que sea, puede ocasionar mal funcionamiento si no es colocada de forma correcta, como el caso de los O-Rings. Gracias a Dios todo pudo corregirse y lo mejor, sin costo de mano de obra, lo cual es una bendición en estos tiempos difíciles en la economía personal y familiar en Venezuela. # Gracias por acompañarme hasta aquí, tenía tiempo sin escribir en la comunidad, pero como siempre, es un gran gusto regresar.
