It is true that in summer, despite the fact that in our country, summer is intense, and endless, the city becomes much more beautiful and colorful, although the heat is suffocating, but an absolute bright is radiated, as is the case of this cozy park, which is named "Maceo Park" by alluding to a fighter brave in the war of independence, it is surrounded by beautiful trees and very important instructions.
In this peaceful and charming park we have three sculptures, the bust of the Bronze Titan, as was called to which tribute was made in this park, Antonio Maceo Grajales, an obelisk of 3 meters high, built by the Italian company Ugo Luisi, monument this in memory of the tuneros fallen in the wars of independence, in it you can see, to others, a sculpture in marble in marble of marble in marble Carrara, dedicated to the mother, and consecrated to Brígida Zaldívar Cisnero wife of Major General Vicente García González, in itself it is a place that encourage rest under the intense sun of our country, which make it a very special city space.
A very important close institution, the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) which is used from the peaceful and cozy site, to celebrate activities for the summer, recently passed through it, and although it did not have much time, I could appreciate something of the event.
