[ESP] | [ENG] - MOMENTO FOODIE #49: ¿¿Café de Jengibre Negro??

¿Recuerdas de _The Coffee_? La cafetería con estilo brasilero-japonés de la que te hablé hace un tiempo [aquí en mi Blog](https://peakd.com/hive-100067/@maryed/esp-or-eng-the-coffee-un-concepto-brasileno-y-japones). Pues bien, resulta que quedé tan fascinada con el lugar que regresé una segunda vez durante este fin de semana. Uno de mis amigos de la Universidad, a quien cabe destacar tenía más de un año sin ver, me invitó por un café en este lugar. Él sabe que amo el café en los lugares aesthetic así que pensó inmeditamente que este sería un excelente plan de Fin de Semana. A pesar de que el día estaba lluvioso, no lo pensamos dos veces y nos embarcamos en una nueva aventura Foodie. La primera vez que visité The Coffee probé el Café Frío de Caramelo Salado, una total delicia. Sin embargo, la hormiga de la curiosidad me había picado y se instaló en mi mente el deseo de querer volver para probar el _Café de Jengibre Negro_ que contenía -obviamente- café de especialidad, hielo, tónica y un toque _"mágico"_ de jengibre. Mi amigo me miró un poco extrañado y me preguntó más de dos veces si estaba segura de mi elección, a lo que yo sólo le respondí: _"esto puede salir muy bien o muy mal, pero hay que probar"_. Hicimos nuestro pedido que terminó siendo el Café de Jengibre Negro y una Galleta de Caramelo Salado para mí, mientras que mi amigo pidió una Torta de Limón y un Café de Vainilla Helada que, según el gracioso menú, es más frío que tu corazón. >Do you remember The Coffee? Well, it turns out that I was so fascinated by the place that I went back a second time this weekend. One of my friends from college, whom I hadn't seen in over a year, invited me for coffee there. He knows I love coffee in aesthetic places, so he immediately thought this would be an excellent weekend plan. Even though it was raining, we didn't think twice and embarked on a new foodie adventure. >The first time I visited The Coffee, I tried the Salted Caramel Iced Coffee, which was absolutely delicious. However, my curiosity had been piqued, and I was determined to return to try the Black Ginger Coffee, which contained specialty coffee, ice, tonic water, and a “magical” touch of ginger. My friend looked at me a little strangely and asked me more than twice if I was sure about my choice, to which I simply replied, “This could turn out really well or really badly, but we have to try it.” We placed our order, which ended up being the Black Ginger Coffee and a Salted Caramel Cookie for me, while my friend ordered a Lemon Cake and an Iced Vanilla Coffee, which, according to the humorous menu, is colder than your heart. ---   --- Mi elección de café no fue una total decepción, pero he de admitir que no es un café para todo el mundo. De hecho al relizar la orden podías escoger la cantidad de jengibre que deseabas que le añadieran, yo elegí la opción _"media"_ aunque después de probarlo pensé que quizás hubiese sido mejor una menor cantidad de jengibre. Pero, no me malinterpretes, fue una opción interesante por el contraste de sabor que había en ese vaso. En primer lugar te invadía el intenso y picante sabor del jengibre y, luego, de fondo se encontraba el sabor del café. Por otro lado, a pesar de que no soy fanática de las tortas de limón porque en su mayoría me parece que sus glaseados son excesivamente dulces, he de admitir que estab torta en particular estaba deliciosa. La cubierta de glaseado tenía un intenso sabor a limón sin exagerar con el dulzor y la miga del ponqué era muy suave. En cuanto a la galleta, ¡ni hablar! un sólido 10/10. Sin duda, esta se ha convertido en una de mis cafeterías favoritas, no sólo porque los productos que ofrece son de buena calidad sino por el concepto tan elegante pero a la vez minimalista de sus instalaciones. Aun tengo pendiente una cita conmigo misma a The Coffee sólo para ir a colorear un rato mientras tomo un bruch, ya veremos cuando se me presenta la oportunidad. >My choice of coffee wasn't a total disappointment, but I have to admit that it's not a coffee for everyone. In fact, when placing your order, you could choose how much ginger you wanted added. I chose the “medium” option, but after trying it, I thought that perhaps less ginger would have been better. But don't get me wrong, it was an interesting choice because of the contrast in flavors in that cup. First, you were hit with the intense, spicy flavor of ginger, and then the flavor of coffee came through in the background. On the other hand, even though I'm not a fan of lemon cakes because I find most of their frostings to be overly sweet, I have to admit that this particular cake was delicious. The frosting had an intense lemon flavor without being overly sweet, and the cake was very moist. As for the cookie, needless to say, it was a solid 10/10. >Without a doubt, this has become one of my favorite coffee shops, not only because the products they offer are of good quality, but also because of the elegant yet minimalist design of their facilities. I still have a date with myself at The Coffee just to go coloring for a while while I have brunch. We'll see when the opportunity arises.
