[ESP] | [ENG] - The Coffee: Un Concepto Brasileño y Japonés

Hace unos dos meses, aproximadamente, abrió sus puertas en la ciudad de Caracas _**The Coffee**_ una cafetería de origen brasileña con inspiración japonesa. El estilo es bastante minimalista llegando a lo que yo considero _"aesthetic"_. El local es bastante grande y cuenta con servicio de WiFi para los clientes, lo que califica como un lugar perfecto de co-working. Al llegar, tú mismo realizas tu pedido: _seleccionas tus opciones del menú, colocas tu nombre y tomas un número que luego anotas en la pantalla. Finalmente, realizas el pago usando el punto de venta sin necesidad de requerir ayuda de un tercero_. Fuimos cerca de las 10 a.m porque nuestra idea era tener un pequeño brunch en este lugar. Cabe destacar que habíamos revisado el menú online unas diez veces antes de llegar porque queríamos estar 100% seguras de qué era lo que queríamos pedir. Luego de realizar el pedido a través de la pantalla y realizar el pago, pasaron cerca de unos 10 minutos cuando ya teníamos nuestro pedido en la mesa. >About two months ago, _**The Coffee**_, a Brazilian coffee shop with Japanese inspiration, opened its doors in Caracas. The style is quite minimalist, reaching what I consider to be _“aesthetic”_. The place is quite large and has WiFi service for customers, which makes it a perfect co-working space. When you arrive, you place your order yourself: you select your options from the menu, enter your name, and take a number, which you then enter on the screen. Finally, you pay using the point of sale without needing help from anyone else. >We went around 10 a.m. because we wanted to have a small brunch there. It's worth noting that we had checked the menu online about ten times before arriving because we wanted to be 100% sure of what we wanted to order. After placing our order on the screen and paying, it took less than 10 minutes for our order to arrive at our table. --- --- Yo estaba decidida por la opción de _**Mozzarella de Búfala y Rúcula**_ que consistía básicamente en un sándwich de pan brioche relleno con mozzarella de búfala, tomates confitados y rúcula acompañado de un Café Frío de Caramelo Salado. Por su parte, mi amiga optó por un _**Sándwich de Tortilla y Tocino**_ acompañado de la misma opción de café que yo había elegido. Pedimos también una porción de torta de cambur para compartir entre las dos. En el menú recuerdo haber leído la frase _"cada bocado te saca una sonrisa"_ luego de especificar los ingredientes de la opción que elegí. Esa, sin duda, es una frase bastante certera porque tras el primer bocado quedé gratamente sorprendida por la excelente combinación de sabores entre lo salado y cremoso de la mozzarella y lo dulce de los tomates confitados. Mi instinto me decía que esta era una opción que no me defraudaría, y vaya que no me equivoqué. A pesar de que no soy demasiado fanática del café frío, esta opción también me gustó sobretodo por el equilibrio entre la esencia de caramelo salado y el café espresso. Mi amiga me comentó que la tortilla con tocino tenía un buen sabor, pero el sándwich en sí le resultó demasiado seco a diferencia de la opción que elegí pues ciertamente los tomates confitados y la mozzarella le confieren cierta humedad a la preparación. >I decided on the _**Buffalo Mozzarella and Arugula**_ option, which was basically a brioche sandwich filled with buffalo mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and arugula, accompanied by a Salted Caramel Iced Coffee. My friend opted for an _**omelet and bacon sandwich**_ accompanied by the same coffee I had chosen. We also ordered a slice of banana cake to share between us. >I remember reading the phrase _“every bite brings a smile”_ on the menu after specifying the ingredients of the option I chose. That is undoubtedly a very accurate phrase because after the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent combination of flavors between the salty and creamy mozzarella and the sweetness of the candied tomatoes. My instinct told me that this was an option that would not disappoint me, and I was not wrong. Although I'm not a big fan of cold coffee, I also liked this option, especially because of the balance between the salted caramel essence and the espresso. My friend told me that the bacon omelet tasted good, but she found the sandwich itself too dry, unlike the option I chose, as the candied tomatoes and mozzarella certainly add some moisture to the dish. --- --- Los precios no me parecieron excesivamente elevados para lo que yo esperaba debido al concepto de la Cafetería y lo reconocida que es en otros países. En total, cada una de nosotras gastó aproximadamente $11 entre el sándwich, café y la porción de torta compartida. Lo cual me parece bastante aceptable considerando una relación de calidad y cantidad. Por cierto, hablando de proporciones, no iba con las expectativas demasiado elevadas con respecto a la _cantidad_ de la comida, es más, en algún punto pensé que quedaría con un poco de hambre y para mi sorpresa esto no fue así. Otra de las cosas que me gustó de este lugar es que al visualizar el menú digital en todas las opciones tanto de bebidas, desayunos y postres se te presenta un botón para _visualizar info nutricional_ en donde se detallan los ingredientes y las cantidades por porción. Esto me parece muy importante sobretodo para aquellas personas que poseen algún tipo de intolerancia o alergia a ciertos alimentos. >I didn't find the prices excessively high for what I expected, given the concept of the café and how well-known it is in other countries. In total, each of us spent approximately $11 on a sandwich, coffee, and a shared slice of cake. I think this is quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity. By the way, speaking of proportions, I didn't have very high expectations regarding the quantity of food. In fact, at one point I thought I would be a little hungry, but to my surprise, this was not the case. >Another thing I liked about this place is that when you view the digital menu with all the options for drinks, breakfast, and desserts, there is a button to view nutritional information, which details the ingredients and quantities per serving. I think this is very important, especially for people who have some type of intolerance or allergy to certain foods. --- _{**Un poco de la estética del lugar** A little bit of the aesthetics of the place} --- En mis planes está visitar este lugar nuevamente porque aún hay algunas opciones de bebidas que me gustaría probar, sin mencionar de que las tostadas francesas me llamaron la atención. Quizás para Octubre, aprovechando las vibras otoñales, me animo para ir a probar el _Chai Latte_ o el _Chai de Jengibre helado_. Ya veremos a qué me decido. >I plan to visit this place again because there are still some drinks I'd like to try, not to mention that the French toast caught my eye. Maybe in October, taking advantage of the fall vibes, I'll go ahead and try the Chai Latte or the Iced Ginger Chai. We'll see what I decide.
