Basándome en mi experiencia, considero que es oportuno comenzar con un plan de abordaje enfocado en el desarrollo de la motricidad fina. Es importante trabajar en la consolidación de esta habilidad, ya que una mayor soltura en la mano, menos rigidez y mayor velocidad facilitarán el inicio del proceso de escritura. Es comprensible que te preguntes por qué, a esta edad, el estudiante aún no ha consolidado su escritura, cuando generalmente a esta etapa ya debería estar avanzado. Cada estudiante es único y se desarrolla de manera diferente en la lectura, escritura y cálculo. Puede que no haya recibido el apoyo o la orientación adecuada, pero mi objetivo no es juzgar a ningún colega, sino desarrollar herramientas accesibles y comprensibles que beneficien a la madre, su contexto escolar y al propio estudiante.

A continuación, te describo una serie de pasos importantes para iniciar el proceso de escritura. Antes de realizar una evaluación, es fundamental determinar el nivel del estudiante, y en este caso, es necesario empezar desde lo más básico, es decir, desde los ejercicios de grafomotricidad. Para cualquier actividad que implique el uso de lápices, colores, crayones, pinceles o tijeras, es esencial realizar previamente movimientos circulares de agarre y dominio con los dedos. Esto debe hacerse todos los días para que el estudiante comprenda que forma parte de su rutina.
Posteriormente, se puede comenzar con actividades como unir puntos, seguir instrucciones, trazar líneas, reconocer colores y ubicar figuras geométricas. De esta manera, se consolida un esquema que favorece su comprensión. También es importante no descuidar las actividades con plastilina; su uso debe ser supervisado para asegurarse de que no contenga ingredientes tóxicos que puedan causar reacciones desagradables en el niño. Una vez que tengamos la plastilina lista, es crucial identificar los colores y explicar claramente la actividad, ya que muchos niños creen que solo se usa para mezclar colores.
