Early Summer in the UK has seen a proliferation of plants flowering, and so many of them are purple!
Here's a few I've spotted recently:
Two types of Clematis; a genus of about 300 species within the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae.
Syringa vulgaris (lilac or common lilac) is a species of flowering plant in the olive family Oleaceae, native to the Balkan Peninsula.
Lunaria annua, called honesty or annual honesty in English, is a species of flowering plant native to the Balkans and south west Asia.
All photos taken by me, plant info by Wikipedia.
