@danpaulson and I went to a great event at the Maltcross pub in Nottingham called Steampunk Sunday. For those that were wondering... Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-power. Although its origins are sometimes associated with the cyberpunk genre, steampunk is often set in an alternative history of the 19th century's British Victorian era or American "Wild West", in a future during which steam power has maintained mainstream usage.
You can always tell a great Steampunk event by the profusion and variety of hats being worn! Dan's looking very dapper in his bright yellow pith helmet, with the Cyberdog goggles.
It was a lively affair, with a variety of acts on stage in the old music hall building, including:

Our friend Miles was headlining with his band BB Blackdog, he's in the photo below on bass guitar.
This event was great fun and if you've never been to a Steampunk event, now might be the time to try it!
