Day 2 - Paris
At 8 am we arrived at the Bus station in Paris, about 40 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower which was of course our first destination. We bought some Metro tickets and headed in the direction of the Eiffel Tower, not too long after that we got out of the Metro with all of our luggage and started to look for a little cafe where we could sit down, have a hot drink and ofc have a croissant.
! [Deutsch] Qualitativ hochwertigen Content zu erstellen, ist mit einem vollen Zeitplan nicht einfach. Ich hoffe, euch gefällt dieser Post! Ach ja, und ein kleiner Tipp: Lauft nicht mit eurem Gepäck durch die Stadt – ES IST SO ANSTRENGEND, und in Paris dürft ihr mit eurem Gepäck nirgendwo rein!
Um 8 Uhr morgens kamen wir am Busbahnhof in Paris an, etwa 40 Minuten vom Eiffelturm entfernt, der natürlich unser erstes Ziel war. Wir kauften Metro-Tickets und fuhren Richtung Eiffelturm. Kurze Zeit später stiegen wir mit unserem gesamten Gepäck aus der Metro aus und suchten nach einem kleinen Café, in dem wir ein heißes Getränk genießen und natürlich ein Croissant essen konnten.
After our French breakfast, we headed to the Eifel Tower. Here our mission was to take a lot of pictures and videos, so my fiancee took off her winter jacket and we started our photoshoot. This attracted some attention since not everybody is so committed to a photoshoot, I think it was definitely worth it :D
! [Deutsch] Nach unserem französischen Frühstück machten wir uns auf den Weg zum Eiffelturm. Wir hatten nur ein Gedanke, viele Fotos und Videos zu machen. Meine Verlobte zog also ihre Winterjacke aus, und wir begannen unser Fotoshooting. Das erregte etwas Aufmerksamkeit, da nicht jeder für ein Fotoshooting so engagiert ist – aber ich finde, es hat sich definitiv gelohnt! :D

After a couple of pictures and videos together, we grabbed our language and headed towards the next destination, we were brave and decided to go by foot, in fact in Paris we basically walked everywhere by foot to cut some costs, my fiancee wasn't a fan of that. However, in my opinion, this allowed us to see much more of the city. The only big downside to this was that we had to carry our luggage everywhere.
If I were to travel to Paris again I wouldn't do it like that, the main reason being that with your language you are not allowed to enter anywhere. Every time we showed up at a new location we were greeted by signs saying "NO LUGGAGE", which sucked. So if I do a tour like this next time I will always book a hotel at least for one night. We are always smarter in the aftermath, aren't we?
! [Deutsch] Nach ein paar gemeinsamen Fotos und Videos schnappten wir unser Gepäck und machten uns auf den Weg zum nächsten Ziel. Wir waren mutig und entschieden uns, zu Fuß zu gehen. Tatsächlich sind wir in Paris fast überall gelaufen, um ein bisschen Geld zu sparen – meine Verlobte war allerdings nicht so begeistert davon. Ich persönlich fand jedoch, dass wir dadurch viel mehr von der Stadt sehen konnten. Der einzige große Nachteil dabei war, dass wir unser Gepäck überallhin mitschleppen mussten.
Wenn ich noch einmal nach Paris reisen würde, dann würde ich es definitiv nicht wieder so machen. Der Hauptgrund dafür ist, dass man mit seinem Gepäck nirgendwo hineingelassen wird. Überall, wo wir ankamen, wurden wir von Schildern begrüßt, auf denen stand: „KEIN GEPÄCK“, was echt nervig war. Wenn ich also das nächste Mal so eine Tour plane, werde ich mindestens für eine Nacht ein Hotel buchen. Na ja, danach ist man immer schlauer, oder?

Finally we got a beautiful bridge and here the first #proofofpin was planted, on the right you can see a huge a museum where yes just like you guessed we were not allowed to enter ;( ohh well, it is what it is!
! [Deutsch] Schließlich erreichten wir eine wunderschöne Brücke, auf der wir unseren ersten #proofofpin hinterließen. Rechts könnt ihr ein riesiges Museum sehen, in das wir – ihr habt es schon erraten – natürlich nicht hineindurften ;( Naja, was soll's!
A must do :D - travelling with my fiancee is the definition of having a photoshoot everywhere, which not gonna lie is amazing as we have so many pictures together which will ultimately lead us having so many memories!
! [Deutsch] Ein absolutes Muss :D – mit meiner Verlobten zu reisen bedeutet im Grunde, überall ein Fotoshooting zu veranstalten. Ich muss zugeben, das ist großartig, denn wir haben dadurch unglaublich viele gemeinsame Fotos, was letztendlich bedeutet, dass wir so viele schöne Erinnerungen sammeln!

Another #proofofpin this place is not really special on its own, however, in the picture, you can see two little stores, on the right a little store selling the French classic "Macarons", I give it a rating 11/10 there is just something about how sweet and cold it is ~ SO DELICIOUS
On the left you can see a nice pizzeria and it is the place that deserves to be on worldmappin. The reason being we were exhausted our phones were low battery, and we didn't really want to walk anymore. We sat down and the chef was so welcoming he is one of the sweetest people that I have met in a while, he was so kind and understanding he told us where we could charge our phones told us that we could us the private bathroom behind the kitchen and eventually gave us the menu.
We couldn't decide on a pizza and he overheard us talking about it and asked what we wanted, we said we wanted a lot of meat and cheese and so he said to my fiancee: "Yes my queen I can make that for you, I will make a special recipe for you :D"
When you are tired having this kind of chef is something that anybody can wish for, it's like having a private chef, he really made us feel at home! Eventually, we were down the phone was recharged and so were we, so I got up to pay and I obviously wanted to give a tip, but this man just refused and no matter how much I tried he refused to take a tip from me!
! [Deutsch] Ein weiterer #proofofpin! Dieser Ort ist an sich eigentlich nicht besonders, aber auf dem Foto könnt ihr zwei kleine Läden erkennen. Rechts ein Geschäft, das den französischen Klassiker „Macarons“ verkauft – ich gebe eine Bewertung von 11/10. Irgendetwas an diesem süßen, kalten Geschmack ist einfach himmlisch lecker!
Links seht ihr eine nette kleine Pizzeria, und genau dieser Ort verdient definitiv seinen Platz auf „worldmappin“. Wir waren völlig erschöpft, unsere Handys hatten kaum noch Akku und wir wollten einfach nicht mehr laufen. Wir setzten uns hin und wurden vom Chef des Restaurants unglaublich herzlich empfangen. Er war einer der freundlichsten Menschen, die ich seit langem getroffen habe. Er war so nett und verständnisvoll, zeigte uns, wo wir unsere Handys aufladen konnten, bot uns an, die private Toilette hinter der Küche zu benutzen, und brachte uns schließlich die Speisekarte.
Wir konnten uns einfach nicht für eine Pizza entscheiden, und als er hörte, wie wir darüber diskutierten, fragte er, was wir denn gerne hätten. Wir sagten, wir wollten etwas mit viel Fleisch und Käse, woraufhin er lächelnd zu meiner Verlobten sagte: „Ja, meine Königin, das kann ich für dich machen. Ich bereite dir eine spezielle Pizza zu! :D“
Wenn man erschöpft ist, ist genau so ein Chef etwas, das sich jeder wünschen kann – wie ein privater Koch. Er sorgte wirklich dafür, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlten! Schließlich hatten unsere Handys wieder Akku und auch wir fühlten uns wieder fit. Als ich aufstand, um zu bezahlen, wollte ich natürlich Trinkgeld geben, aber er weigerte sich strikt und egal wie sehr ich darauf bestand, nahm er einfach kein Trinkgeld von mir an!

On the way back we once again walked past the Eiffel Tower, at this point it already got dark, and the sparkles were so beautiful!

The last #proofofpin had to be planted, close to the Eifel Tower. Sooner than we felt it coming it was 8 pm and so we had to head back to the metro and go to the bus station as at 10 pm we were going to catch our next bus to Amsterdam. We slowly started to feel the relief of going to Amsterdam as we knew that we could finally take a hot shower and lie down in a comfy bed!
I think challenging yourself and depriving yourself of certain things is so valuable as, when you do that you really do start to appreciate the little things, whatever they might be. I mean, I especially feel this being so far from my fiancee as this only makes our love stronger! hehehe omg another ramble
! [Deutsch] Der letzte #proofofpin musste natürlich in der Nähe des Eiffelturms hinterlassen werden. Schneller als gedacht wurde es 20 Uhr, und wir mussten zurück zur Metro und zum Busbahnhof, denn um 22 Uhr ging bereits unser nächster Bus nach Amsterdam. Langsam spürten wir die Erleichterung darüber, bald in Amsterdam zu sein, denn dort würden wir endlich eine heiße Dusche genießen und in einem gemütlichen Bett liegen können!
Ich finde, sich selbst herauszufordern und bewusst auf gewisse Dinge zu verzichten, ist unglaublich wertvoll. Denn gerade dann beginnt man, die kleinen Dinge des Lebens wirklich zu schätzen – ganz egal, was es ist. Besonders deutlich spüre ich das natürlich dadurch, dass ich momentan so weit von meiner Verlobten entfernt bin. Denn genau solche Herausforderungen stärken unsere Liebe nur noch mehr! Hehehe, oh Mann, schon wieder schweife ich ab.
