In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Otra vuelta de Tuerca of the argentine band Las Pastillas del Abuelo.
A Sky Full Of Stars: Coldplay
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is A Sky Full Of Stars from the successful band Coldplay.
Since my early childhood, I have spent my time listening to a band that was completely unknown to me. I remember that on weekends my mother used to play music on one of her computer speakers, and her selections always included Argentine rock or a song by that unknown band.
A few weeks ago, I was quite bored and had seen a controversial situation that had happened at a Coldplay concert, where two people had been unfaithful to their partners. There was so much fuss about it that the news was everywhere, and it wasn't long before I saw it in various media outlets.
What piqued my curiosity the most was not so much the news itself, but the realization that, if someone had asked me at that moment, I didn't know a single Coldplay song. I knew they were a very famous band and that they had even filled stadiums in Argentina, but if someone had asked me to recognize a melody or name one of their songs, I wouldn't have had a clue.
So, to satisfy my curiosity, I started listening to their most famous songs on Spotify. I think it was nostalgia for my childhood after listening to two or three, because that unknown band I used to listen to in the afternoons was Coldplay. I ended up liking several of the band's songs, mainly Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You, Paradise, Adventure of a Lifetime, Viva la Vida, and A Sky Full of Stars.

Coldplay is a British alternative rock band formed in 1996. It consists of vocalist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion.
The band achieved worldwide success after releasing their first album, Parachutes, in 2000, which included their biggest hit, Yellow. However, the band continued to consolidate their success with albums such as Trouble, The Scientist, and X&Y. It was on the latter that they released another of their most recognized works, A Sky Full of Stars.
Although I'm not a big fan of this type of band, I must admit that several of their songs moved me deeply.
