In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is I was made for loving you of the argentine artist La "Mona" Jimenez.
Ahora Mirame: Ulises Bueno
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Ahora Mirame of the argentine artist Ulises Bueno.
In my previous post, I talked about a very important artist from one of Argentina's most popular genres: La Mona Jimenez. The genre I'm referring to is cuarteto, which became quite famous and ended up transcending the borders of its own province, reaching the whole of Argentina.
The greatest exponent of the genre, who managed to bring this music, which was only listened to by the people of Cordoba, to the capital, was none other than Potro Rodrigo Bueno. In his short career, he managed to become one of the most important artists of all time in Argentina.
My experience with him began about eight years ago, when I was at a friend's party and I remember that his parents had put on dance songs from his era, and of course, that “cuarteto” couldn't be left out. Of all the songs I heard, I could say that at least 8 out of 10 were by Rodrigo Bueno.
It was a genre that was completely unknown to me, but it managed to captivate me and catch my attention after listening to several songs by El Potro. Today, I have more than twenty songs by Rodrigo Bueno in my “likes.”
After Rodrigo Bueno's death in an accident, the genre would never again be as popular as it had been before. However, several artists sought to continue Rodrigo's legacy, including his brother Ulises Bueno. His brother achieved some national success with songs such as Ahora Mirame, Intento, No Puedo Fingirlo, and Me Levanté. Despite this, he did not achieve the prestige or fame of his brother, nor did he manage to revive the quartet on the national scene.

Ulises Bueno is currently one of the most important artists in the cuarteto genre. He has been closely involved with music since he was young, as his brother was the legendary El Potro Rodrigo and his father ran a record label.
He made his debut shortly after his brother's death, but did not achieve as much success as he had hoped. However, over time he gradually established himself and released memorable songs such as Soy, Intento, Dale vieja dale, Me Dijeron, and my choice for today, Ahora Mirame.
