In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Dragonborn from the composer Jeremy Soule.
Deeez Nuuuuts: Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

Today I'm going to tell you the story of how I met one of the artists who has become one of my all-time favorites. I'm talking about a hip-hop legend named Dr. Dre.
I've been listening to old-school hip-hop since I was a teenager, thanks to some friends who introduced me to the music in the multiplayer mode of GTA San Andreas, where you could add music from outside the game. That's how I got to know artists like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Wiz Khalifa. However, at that time, I wasn't a huge fan, and I didn't listen to it all the time.
My true fanaticism came one afternoon when I was bored looking for something to watch on Netflix. The title of a movie caught my attention: Explicit Lyrics. I read the description and it caught my attention, but honestly, I imagined that the members of that group weren't that well known.
I was really surprised when, in the first scenes, I saw artists I already knew from their solo careers, such as Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. Thanks to this movie, I discovered the group N.W.A. and the beginnings of those who would become my favorite artists, such as Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre.

After watching the movie, I wanted to learn more about the artists' musical careers. I started with Dr. Dre, an artist I only recognized for one of the most iconic songs of the genre: Still D.R.E.
I went crazy after listening to his first solo album, The Chronic, because I discovered that he was the architect of many of the hits I liked and didn't even know he was behind. I also realized how important he was in launching the career of one of the most recognized artists in the world of rap: Snoop Dogg.
My choice today is also from Dr. Dre's first solo album, and it's Deeez Nuuuts. Several artists collaborate on this song, including Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Daz, and Nate Dogg.
