In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Cuando no estás of the succesful argentine artist Andres Calamaro.
Dragonborn: Jeremy Soule
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Dragonborn of the artist Jeremy Soule.
To mix things up a bit, I'm going to share some songs that I've discovered in different ways. In this case, as happened a few days ago, I'm going to play another song that I discovered thanks to the influence of video games, which introduce music by alternative artists, music from another generation, and even musical works created specifically for that game.
About ten years ago, I was in my teens and I remember that I had recently gotten one of my favorite consoles: the PlayStation 3. Back then, I used to play games like Call of Duty, GTA IV, and others quite a bit, but there was one game that blew my mind. I remember playing this game for the first time thanks to my stepbrother, who recommended it to me.
Skyrim is one of the most important open-world games in the history of video games. I remember that the game's graphics, the story, and the profound number of decisions you had to make made it a unique experience. One of the things I have to highlight is the “Nordic music” style soundtrack that played during important moments such as battles or simple walks through a city.
One of my favorite songs is the game's main theme, which, if I'm not mistaken, could be heard in the game menu and when you leveled up. This is my choice for today, and it's called “Dragonborn” by the artist Jeremy Soule.

Jeremy Soule is an American artist who composes songs for video game soundtracks. He began composing music for children's games such as Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, and Total Annihilation, which earned him an award for soundtrack.
After that, his career continued to rise, allowing him to obtain more important contracts and compose music for renowned video games such as Guild Wars, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. However, his greatest success would come with a song he composed for the iconic video game “The Elder Scrolls Skyrim” called Dragonborn.
One of the most interesting facts is that the team responsible for creating the game's music decided that the lyrics of Dragonborn would not be in any existing language, but instead designed a new language to interpret this song: Draconic. The language created for this song has a runic alphabet, grammar, and vocabulary.
