In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Té para tres from the legendary artists Luis Alberto Spinneta and Gustavo Cerati.
I was made for lovin' you: Kiss
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is I was made for lovin' you of the legendary band Kiss.
Today I wanted to change things up a bit from the last few song selections I've made in recent days. So I tried searching for a song using Spotify's tool that recommends songs based on the content of each playlist. Whenever I've used it, it has helped me discover or recognize great songs that I would have been unlikely to find otherwise. I listen to a lot of music every day, so Spotify is one of the few service subscriptions I keep active.
The recommendation that caught my attention the most was one I received in one of the first playlists I created, which consisted entirely of international rock songs. I Was Made For Lovin' You is a legendary international rock song that everyone should have heard at least once. That's why I ended up choosing it as my song of the day.
My history with Kiss goes back to my childhood, when my mother used to play me rock songs in English from time to time. These were less frequent than the ones we listened to in Spanish. I think the few reasons why I ended up remembering this group over time were because of their peculiar way of dressing, which I remember had caught my attention as a child.
Later on, I discovered other songs by the band thanks to the video game Guitar Hero 3, which has a considerable number of high-quality musical works. My song choice for today is also my favorite Kiss song: I Was Made for Lovin' You.

Kiss is one of the most important bands in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. It was formed in New York in the mid-1970s by vocalist and guitarist Paul Stanley with bassist Gene Simmons, guitarist Ace Frehley, and drummer Peter Criss. They stood out not only for their great music but also for their unusual clothing and appearance.
The group's first album was released a year after its formation: Kiss. Unfortunately, this album did not achieve the expected success at the time, at least not until the band became well known. Success would come with their third album, Dressed To Kill, thanks to hits such as Rock and Roll All Nite, She, and Love Her All I Can, which allowed Kiss to gain national and international recognition.
I Was Made for Lovin' You is the most successful song released by the band Kiss. It was released in 1979 on the album Dynasty and achieved massive international success, reaching the top of the charts in several countries in Europe, America, and Oceania.
