In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is The Ballad of Heinsenberg from the mexican band Los Cuates de Sinaloa.
Medium: Gustavo Cerati
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Medium from the argentine legendary artist Gustavo Cerati.
Today I wanted to return to an artist I haven't featured in a few weeks, and who is one of my all-time favorites. The truth is that I've featured more than ten of his songs, and I still have many more that I love and want to share with you. I'm talking about none other than the legendary Argentine artist Gustavo Cerati.
My history of listening to him as a solo artist began almost three years ago, when I used to play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Multiplayer (SAMP) quite a bit. I had a friend I talked to almost every day at the time, and his nickname on Discord was “Siempre es Hoy” (It's Always Today). I was curious about the reason for his name, and that's when he told me it was because of his favorite Gustavo Cerati album.
He highly recommended that album to me, so I gave it a try to see what it was like. I found it to be one of the best Argentine rock albums I've ever heard, with songs like Cosas Imposibles (my favorite), No Te Creo, Vivo, Artefacto, Señales Luminosas, Tu Cicatriz En Mi, Torre de Marfil, and Sudestada. Since then, I started listening to all the albums he released during his solo career, one by one, discovering many songs that I still listen to today.

Siempre es Hoy and Amor Amarillo are two of my favorite albums by him, but there is one that I consider to be slightly better: Ahi Vamos. It's an album with great songs like La Excepción, Adiós, Crimen, Me Quedo Aquí, Lago en el Cielo (one of my favorites), Bomba de Tiempo, and the song I've selected for today's post: Médium.
The most incredible thing about Gustavo Cerati is that, despite releasing a lot of hits during his solo career, he never reached the heights he achieved in Argentine rock with his participation in the legendary band Soda Stereo.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Soda Stereo and don't even consider them among my top five favorites, but I did become a fan of Gustavo Cerati's solo career, which allowed me to enjoy great albums such as Amor Amarillo, Ahi Vamos, Siempre es Hoy, Bocanada, and Fuerza Natural. It's a shame that he left us at such a young age, because he still had so much to prove.
