Good evening everyone!
In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Deeez Nuuuts of the artists Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg.
Plateado sobre Plateado: Charly Garcia
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Plateado sobre Plateado from the legendary argentine artist Charly Garcia.
On this occasion, I am going to talk about an artist who has influenced me throughout most of my life. In my early years, as far back as I can remember, I recall that my mother used to listen to a lot of Argentine rock music. Mainly, it was all the artists who had emerged during her youth, and clearly among them were the legendary Charly Garcia and groups such as Los Abuelos de la Nada, Seru Giran, Los Twitz, and Virus.
However, despite all the influence I received, at that time I had no idea that I had already heard songs by Charly Garcia. When I reached my teens, I returned to rock, although this time from a more modern perspective, with local bands from the 2000s such as Las Pastillas del Abuelo, Los Piojos, Ciro y Los Persas, Intoxicados, and Attaque 77.
A few years ago, I don't remember the exact reason, but I started listening to a well-known band called Los Abuelos de la Nada, which reintroduced me to the early days of rock in Argentina. That led me to wonder why many people considered Charly García one of the most important artists in the country's history.
I think it only took me a few minutes to recognize quite a few songs from my childhood and understand why he is one of the most important artists in the history of Latin American rock (for me, the greatest of all).

I started listening to his entire discography, starting with one of his first solo albums, Pubis Angelical, which had great songs like No Bombardeen Buenos Aires, Yo No Quiero Volverme Tan Loco, and Inconsciente Colectivo.
But what really blew me away was his second album: Clics Modernos. It was a completely revolutionary album for the Argentine music industry, as it incorporated samples and other modern tools from the first world. Clics Modernos is full of great songs, and in my opinion, the three best of the nine are my choice today: Plateado Sobre Plateado, Los Dinosaurios, and Ojos de Videotape.
