Hello, everyone! Today I'm back again with another contribution to the Social Media Challenge initiative launched by the Splinterlands team.
¡Hola a todos! Hoy vuelvo nuevamente con otra participación en la iniciativa del Social Media Challenge lanzada por el equipo de Splinterlands.
Today I wanted to focus on something I've never talked about in detail before: Guild Brawls.
About two or three months ago, I posted a message on one of the Splinterlands channels announcing that I was looking for a Guild to play Tier Brawls at a slightly higher level.
It turned out that I was previously in a public Guild that fought in the lowest category of Brawls, so unfortunately the rewards were pretty poor.
Hoy quería centrarme en algo sobre lo que nunca antes había hablado en detalle: Guild Brawls.
Hace unos dos o tres meses, habia publicado un mensaje en uno de los canales de Splinterlands, en el que anuncié que estaba buscando un Guild para jugar Brawls de Tier un poco más alto.
Resultaba que antes estaba en un Guild que era público y que peleaba en la peor categoria de los Brawls, asi que lamentablemente las recompensas eran bastantes malas.
Luckily for me, a user of the game contacted me and offered me to join one of the various alliances that his group had formed. They gave me the choice between Tier 3 or Tier 4. I obviously opted for the more difficult battles, but also those with the best rewards.
My first few Guild battles didn't go very well. I always ended up losing more than I could win, and despite having a good set of Chaos cards, I couldn't beat the bots.
Para mi suerte, un usuario del juego se comunicó conmigo y me ofreció entrar en una de las diversas alianzas que formaba su grupo. Me dieron a elegir entre Tier 3 o Tier 4. Claramente opté por las batallas más difíciles, pero también con las mejores recompensas.
Mis primeras participaciones en las batallas de Guild no fueron muy buenas. Siempre solía perder más de lo que podía llegar a ganar y a pesar de tener un buen set de cartas Chaos, no podia contra los bots.
I'm not going to lie, I was pretty scared that my poor performance would eventually get me kicked out of the guild, but luckily that didn't happen.
Another thing that bothered me a lot was that almost all the battle fronts that used cards from the Chaos set were always full. So I had to miss out on the weekly guild fight and lost out on a juicy reward.
No voy a mentir tenia bastante miedo a que a la larga por mi rendimiento bajo, me terminen eliminando del Guild, pero por suerte eso no paso.
Otra de las cosas que me molestaba bastante, es que casi siempre todos los frentes de batalla que utilizaran cartas del set Chaos estaban ocupados. Asi que me tocaba perderme de la pelea de gremios semanal y perdia una jugosa recompensa.
Everything changed when I rented the deck so I could compete in the Modern Ranked format. Now I had a large number of battle fronts to choose from and the certainty that my opponents probably didn't have such a strong deck either.
Since then, I signed up and participated in all the Guild battles and managed to achieve a positive win rate in ALL of them. In the last three, I won at least 5 battles in each, which gave me a juicy reward in SPS and Merits.
Todo cambio cuando alquilé el mazo para poder disputar el formato Modern Ranked. Ahora tenia una cantidad grande de frentes de batalla para elegir y la certeza de que los rivales probablemente tampoco tengan un mazo tan fuerte.
Desde entonces, me anoté y participe en todas las batallas de Guilds y me pude hacer con un winrate positivo en TODAS. En las ultimas tres, he ganado al menos 5 batallas en cada una, lo que me dio una jugosa recompensa en SPS y Merits.
In my last participation, I only had to fight five battles. To be honest, I hadn't planned them out too much, but I still managed to emerge victorious in each one, which I really couldn't believe.
Thanks to my good performance and that of the other five members who achieved a positive win rate, we managed to take first place in this last guild battle.
En mi última participación, solo tuve que disputar cinco batallas. Para ser sincero, no las había planificado demasiado, pero aun así logré salir victorioso en cada una de ellas, algo que realmente no podía creer.
Gracias a mi buen desempeño y al otro de cinco miembros que lograron un winrate positivo, logramos quedarnos con el primer puesto en esta ultima batalla de gremios.

The rewards are absolutely crazy for a weekly competition. In fact, this accounts for almost 50% of all the SPS I generate throughout the season. It also helps me to continue improving my cards from the Gladiator set.
In worse seasons, I've only seen “gains” thanks to this mode, which I'll try to keep performing well in to achieve my goal of reaching 10,000 SPS.
Las recompensas son una absoluta locura para ser una competencia semanal. Realmente, esto influye casi en el 50% de todo el SPS que genero en toda la temporada. Además, de servirme para seguir mejorando mis cartas del set Gladiator.
En peores temporadas, solo he visto "ganancias" gracias a este modo, al que intentaré lograr seguir teniendo un buen desempeño para lograr mi objetivo de llegar a los 10000 SPS.
As you can see, in my last three days of play, I earned 70% of my winnings thanks to Guild Brawls, and only 30% from competing in Modern Ranked.
