Chase the sun: Koven
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Chase the sun of the group Koven.
I think it was about 8-9 years ago when I played one of the video games I would spend the most hours of my life playing: Rocket League. I remember I was in my teens and had gone to a friend's house with a group of friends to play it on separate screens. At that time, the game was starting to become popular, and I really liked it.
I ended up buying it a year later when I found it on sale for only $10. From that moment on, I played it non-stop for about 3-4 years, even managing to rank quite high at the time.
One of the things I like most about Rocket League is its soundtrack, which changes every season and often features alternative artists. I'm not a big fan of electronic music (which is the most prevalent genre in the game), but I always end up finding a song or two that I like.
One of the groups that has benefited the most from appearing on the Rocket League soundtrack is undoubtedly Koven. I remember seeing them in several seasons, but the first time they caught my attention was with a song that fascinated me: Gold. That led me to add that song to Spotify and check out the band's musical repertoire, where I found other good songs like Feel, Butterfly Effect, and my choice for today: Chase The Sun.

This is another clear example of how video games can be an excellent vehicle for introducing people to music they might otherwise never have heard. There are many examples: Rocket League, FIFA (with a large presence of alternative artists), UFC, and even blockchain games such as Rising Star.
Koven is a British electronic music duo founded in 2011, consisting of vocalist Katie Boyle and producer Max Rowat. Throughout their career, they have released albums and singles that have achieved great success in Europe, driven in part by the inclusion of some of their songs on the Rocket League soundtrack, which gave them much greater visibility internationally.
