Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Chase the sun of the group Koven.
If I Had a Heart: Fever Ray
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is If I Had a Heart of the artist Fever Ray.
I wanted to move away from my choices influenced by video games and move on to another of the main reasons why I have become familiar with a lot of music: TV series. I'm not a big fan of cinema. In fact, I hardly ever watch movies because they rarely manage to hold my attention for their entire duration. I think I can give very few examples of memorable films, except for the occasional Clint Eastwood film like Million Dollar Baby or some classic films.
About seven or eight years ago, streaming platforms were booming, and practically all content was on Netflix. My mother always watched more content than I did, and she recommended a series she had really enjoyed: Vikings. I started watching it on her recommendation, and I have to say, it really hooked me.
The plot is quite entertaining, except when they take too many historical liberties and strange things start to happen that, as a history lover, I find hard to forgive. What I really like about the series is the accompanying music, whether in emotional scenes, battles, or other key moments.
I think the most memorable song I remember is the intro theme from the first few seasons. I recently looked it up on Spotify and discovered that it's called If I Had a Heart, by Fever Ray. What really surprised me was finding an artist with that physical appearance; I wasn't expecting that at all.

Fever Ray (Karin Dreijer) is a Swedish artist who creates music that blends electronica, darkwave, and alternative synthpop. Her style is characterized by combining intense sounds with tribal rhythms and indigenous elements of Nordic culture.
She gained significant recognition after her song "If I Had a Heart" was chosen as the theme song for the popular series Vikings, released in 2013. The song has 100 million plays on Spotify and 40 million on YouTube.
