Rising Star - My Daily song choice, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Purple Light: Eliphant, Doja Cat

In this space, I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting facts about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics from the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Las Paces of the argentine band Las Pastillas del Abuelo

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Purple Light of the artist Eliphant and Doja Cat.

My choice today is another example of the influence of video games, introducing us to music that we would not have heard otherwise, either because of when it was released or because it is by a more alternative artist.

The other day, I came across an advertisement on Instagram recommending a playlist called “FIFA Best Soundtracks.” I decided to check it out because I've always enjoyed the music from the early games, such as Ticket To Ride by Kawala and Song 2 by Blur.

I left the playlist running while I waited to find a song I liked, which is how I ended up discovering Way Down We Go by KALEO, Adventure of a Lifetime, and Purple Light by Eliphan and Doja Cat. Personally, I remembered hearing it in a FIFA game, but I couldn't remember which edition. After doing some research, I realized it was part of the FIFA 15 soundtrack.

During my teenage years, I used to let Electronic Arts rip me off by buying every FIFA game they released each year at full price with my savings. Fortunately, I stopped doing that about four or five years ago.

Elliphant is an artist from Stockholm, Sweden. She began her musical career making pop, electronic, and hip-hop songs. She debuted with her song Tekkno Scene, released in 2012, which was also a hit thanks to its inclusion in FIFA 13.

Thanks to the success of her single, she began collaborating with artists such as Diplo and Skrillex, which brought her even more global recognition. This led to a collaboration with Doja Cat, with whom she released the song Purple Light, which was featured in FIFA 15 and was a huge success.

Before announcing the winner of tonight's giveaway. I will share my game statistics on Rising Star, which I gathered using a tool that I created in Rising Star Utils. This tool provides details such as the number of legendary, epic and rare items, track your luck in each lesson type (Piano/Guitar/Production/Orchest/Mic/Drums) and Historial Market, Crafted and Transfer.

Getting your stats is free, just log in to Rising Star Utils and go to the My Stats section: Use this function in Rising Star Utils.

This tool is limited to updating statistics every hour.

 ###### The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago with the Hive Tools application. However, since that app didn’t always work reliably, this time we’ll be using a Discord bot to select a winner from all the comments on a Hive post. The rewards have also increased, reaching 150,000 STARBITS in February.
