Rising Star - My Daily song choice, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Sucker for Pain: Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons and Wiz Khalifa

In this space, I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting facts about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics from the Rising Star game.

Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Purple Light of the artist Elliphant and Doja Cat.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Sucker For Pain of the artist Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons and Wiz Khalifa.

For my selection today, I wanted to vary a bit from my recent selections, which were based on country, rock, and perhaps a bit more old-school pop songs. Normally, I feature many songs that I have discovered through the influence of video games such as FIFA, Rocket League, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

But on this occasion, I'm bringing a song that I discovered through a movie that was quite popular when it was released. I'm not a fan of superheroes, but if there's one world I love, it's Batman's. One of the characters, Harley Quinn, is quite connected to his world thanks to her relationship with the Joker, so the movie caught my attention.

I went to see it on its opening day at the cinema with my friends, who were expecting a pretty good movie. Honestly, the only redeeming features of the film were Margot Robbie and the accompanying soundtrack. The plot, on the other hand, didn't really grab me.

Thanks to the movie, I discovered a band that I would listen to for a while: Imagine Dragons. They participated in several songs in the movie, such as Heathens, which I loved at the time, and finally Sucker For Pain. Personally, I didn't know any of Lil Wayne's songs, only his name. The truth is that I stopped liking current hip-hop because, in my opinion, it lost its essence since autotune abounds and I find the instrumentals quite poor.

Lil Wayne is an American rapper who began his career in the 2000s as part of the group Hot Boys. He achieved success when he began his solo career and released his album Tha Carter in 2004. With Tha Carter III, he established himself as one of the great figures of global hip-hop, thanks to songs such as Lollipop, A Milli, and Got Money.

Sucker For Pain is a song released in 2016 as part of the movie Suicide Squad. It is a collaboration between several successful artists such as Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Logic, Ty Dolla & Sign, and X Ambassadors. The song plays with various genres such as rap, alternative rock, and electronica.
