In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Mentirosa from the cumbia band Rafaga.
Same Old Song and Dance: Aerosmith
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Same Old Song and Dance from the legendary rock-band.
On this occasion, I'm going to talk about a band that I discovered thanks to the influence of video games, like many other artists and bands that I've listened to throughout my life. My history with this band began in my teens when I was playing on my PlayStation 4 and had a PlayStation Plus subscription. This membership usually gives you free games every month, and every now and then something interesting would come out.
One of the most interesting games that came out was one called Saints Row IV. It's a Grand Theft Auto-style game but much more ridiculous and comedic, which was quite fun to play to pass the time. We had to climb it to deactivate it, while one of my favorite songs of the genre played in the background: “I Don't Want to Miss a Thing” by the legendary band Aerosmith. That was my first direct experience with the band that I can remember, and thanks to that game, I also discovered other great songs like What Is Love by Modjo.
The other day, I was going through some of my playlists looking for songs that would be good to include in the publication. Thanks to a recommendation from Spotify, in a playlist where I mainly had rock and pop from the 80s to the 00s, I ended up finding a song called Same Old Song and Dance. I had heard the song before, but I had no idea it was by Aerosmith, and I liked it so much that I decided to select it for today.

Aerosmith is one of the most famous American bands ever. Founded in 1970, it has consisted of vocalist Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Brad Whitford.
Their first album was named after the band and was quite successful, featuring iconic songs such as Make It, Dream On, Mama Kin, and One Way Street. This gave them a solid fan base for their subsequent releases. The band's real success came with their third album, Toys In The Attic, released in 1975, which featured iconic songs such as Toys In The Attic, Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, and Big Ten Inch Record. This album positioned Aerosmith as one of the most important bands of their genre at the time.
Same Old Song and Dance was released on the band's second studio album, Get Your Wings, in 1974. The song has 30 million plays on Spotify and has garnered a million views on YouTube.
