In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Young Turks from the succesfull artist Rod Stewart.
Scenario: A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Scenario from the hip-hop band A Tribe Called Quest and the artist Busta Rhymes.
Today I wanted to mix things up a bit, so I went back to the roots of hip-hop with my choice for today. I've mentioned a few times that I first got into the genre during my teenage years, playing Grand Theft Auto Multiplayer with a group of friends. It turned out that they were much older than me and knew a lot about hip-hop music. That's how I got to know many songs by Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, and good old-school hip-hop. However, it wasn't until a few years later that I really took an interest in the subject.
About five or six years ago, I remember being pretty bored at home and browsing the Netflix catalog. The first thing that caught my eye was a documentary series called Straight Outta Compton. The title caught my attention, and after reading the description, I decided to give this film a try.
The first thing that struck me was a complete surprise, after realizing that several artists I knew from before, such as Ice Cube, Eazy-E, and Dr. Dre, had been part of the same band. From that moment on, I became an absolute fan of the genre, where I ended up discovering many groups and artists.
At that time, I discovered several artists such as Nas, Rakim, and Eric B, as well as groups like Compton's Most Wanted, Cypress Hill, DMX, Wu-Tang Clan, The Game, and A Tribe Called Quest. My song of the day is related to the last group I mentioned, which struck me as having a style very similar to that of Wu-Tang Clan in terms of their music. The first song I heard was Scenario, and that is my choice for today.

A Tribe Called Quest is a very important group in the history of hip-hop, formed in 1985 in New York by Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi White. It didn't take them long to achieve their first commercial success, as in 1990 they released their debut album People Instinctive Travels and The Paths of Rhythm, which was a huge hit thanks to the song Can I Kick It.
Despite already being recognized in the field, they embraced true success after releasing their second album in 1991 called The Low End Theory. This included my choice for today: Scenario. A collaboration between the group and legendary artist Busta Rhymes.
