The Splinterlands community is active and strong. I am not an active participant as much as in past years but every once in a while I read chats on Splinterland's discord channel and watch some of the town halls. Actually I have been away from the news activities that I do not even know if they are still called town halls, but I believe the strength of the community has brought a lasting bond for many players on the platform.
Splinterlands has been resilient through the years. One of the main reasons I never got off playing other crypto games is that it did not take long before developers jumped ship and investors/players were left holding the bag when I first started looking into game-fi with web3. The taking ownership of one's game assets and controlling the operation of a game via DAO voting system all seem foreign to me, but yet Splinterlands have evolved and adapted through the highs and lows of crypto for multiple years.
There was and I think still has a substantial amount of real hard earn money invested into the ecosystem. That is why a lot of the long term players have remain and has been providing a ton of support for the developers and game itself to continue to exist. This can not be said for a lot of other crypto games.
My biggest hope for remaining on Splinterlands is to one day be able to pass down my assets to my kids. It is one part of my life I have put in many hours to pursue and find entertainment. For there are days my kids look and still ask me how much money I have made to what new cards did I get? It would be a wonderful way to share our memories together through a game like Splinterlands because it spanned multiple years.
Through the highs and lows I remain optimistic that one day the assets of the ecosystem will soar to its all time highs again set back in 2020. It may be a dream but one that I am worth waiting for.
As of now I am split close to 50/50 where half is in Splinterlands cards assets and half in Hive ecosystem tokens that is mainly Hive Power.
I am going to continue to grow my digit assets in hopes of reaching specific goals at the end of 2025. That is to hit breakeven in earned Hive Power and 250k SPS staked. Currently I am at a KE of 1.24 so very close to hitting 1.
Meanwhile I am close to crossing 148k SPS staked. This is way below the goal of 250k but hopefully with enough steady push investing in assets of Hive ecosystem I am able to hit a KE of 1 a lot sooner and then be able to focus more on my staked SPS.
Concluding all these assets being stake is apart of the whole goal to remain active participant in the game I love, Splinterlands. Having the stake power I have a stronger say in my votes and stronger presence in the ecosystems I support. Look forward again the next time I post and hopefully better progress.
