When considering the persistent hot summer temperatures, it may be difficult to believe, but it is once again harvest season. More specifically, it is time to get the rice from the many fields where it is currently hanging in golden yellow ears. Well, if you look closely, you can see that it is still a little green in some places, which is because someone took a little more time planting it here in May.
But anyway, now in this season we can't help but bring the rice from the fields and take it home. If you look around the stores, you'll quickly see that stocks have run low again this year and it's slowly time for replenishment.
And it is precisely these supplies that hard-working hands will now provide, and I cannot express my gratitude for that enough. Because me too, I am looking forward to the fresh new rice, which may not taste that different from last year's, but which brings a whole new feeling to the kitchen table. Even as a city boy, I understand this feeling and appreciate it
a lot. The landscape around us will continue to glow golden yellow for a little longer, and I hope that I can enjoy a little more of this wonderful sight on my drives. And then, it will soon be time for autumn to make its appearance here as well. For most people around me, the summer was long and hot enough, and it is time to make way for the next season. With that in mind... everything will be fine!

Auch wenn es bei den anhaltenden Sommertemperaturen nicht ganz glauben mag, aber es ist wieder einmal Erntezeit. Genauer gesagt ist es Zeit, den Reis von den vielen Felden zu holen, auf denen er in diesen Tagen in goldgelben Ähren stehen tut. Nun ja, wenn man genau hinschaut, kann man dann aber auch erkennen, dass er an einigen Stellen noch etwas grün ist, was darin liegt, dass sich hier im Mai jemand etwas mehr Zeit bei der Auspflanzung gelassen hat.
Aber wie auch immer, wir kommen nicht darum, den Reis nun von den Feldern und zu uns nach Hause zu holen. Wenn man sich in den Läden umschaut, wird man nämlich schnell erkennen, dass die Vorräte auch dieses Jahr ordentlich zu Neige gegangen sind und es langsam Zeit wird, dass Nachschub kommt.
Und für genau diesen Nachschub werden fleißige Hände nun sorgen, und ich kann meine Dankbarkeit hierrüber nicht oft genug audrücken. Denn auch ich freue mich auf den frischen neuen Reis, der vielleicht gar nicht so anders schmeckt, wie der vom letzten Jahr, aber dann doch ein ganz anderes Gefühl auf den Küchentisch bringt. Auch ich als Stadtkind habe dieses Gefühl verstanden und weiß es zu schätzen.
Ein wenig länger wird die Landschaft um uns herum noch goldgelb leuchten, und ich hoffe, dass ich bei meinen Fahrten noch ein wenig von diesem tollen Anblick genießen kann. Und dann ist es auch hoffentlich bald Zeit, dass sich der Herbst bei uns vorstellen wird. Der Sommer war für die meisten hier lang und heiß genug und es dürfte Zeit sein, der nächsten Jahrestzeit Platz zu machen. In diesem Sinne dann...alles wird gut!
