Hiya Splinterlanders :)
Description: All units gain the Opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.
Firstly, the description of the ruleset in the game is not perfect, sometimes you got just general information which not giving you all information you need. Best way to read the full description as above from the game documentation at least once. You can check all here.
I seriously encourage you guys to check this site, here is the precise [link](https://support.splinterlands.com/hc/en-us/articles/12250779063956), even more, advanced players could find something interesting there. For example, you can find a very useful cheat sheet, in my prediction stream, people always forgot how different targeting abilities work with each other. Here is a simple table that could be useful: Equal opportunity is another ruleset like in the previous week's equalizer, which seems quite straightforward. Of course with a high mana match sometimes you can completely ignore it and just play your best units, you just need to pay more attention to order. I think still the most obvious and often strategy is to play the taunt monster, which just protects any other low-health units. Until the new martyr units were released, I think playing without a taunt unit was a mistake in 95% of cases. But now, I think there are some good setups that utilize martyr ability with very high effectiveness. You can find some of examples in the blog prediction game at the end of this post. Let's see what I chose for today's battle. Today's [battle ](https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sm_mR8R333thjSbqKArlCDY) is Modern Silver Tier Brawl match. I think right now it's the most competitive mode in the game, so let's see what we got here. The plan was quite obvious to me, Mycelic Splipspawn as a taunt unit, some cannon fodder around, and of course, the main threat: Quora the Towershead. Goblin Psychic is always good support for the Quora. Obviously, I cannot forget about Immortalis the King, void ability and shatter are just amazing. The opponent went with a hazardous gladiator unit: Ketralba and a full squad of good melee monsters. Thane Newsong is a great addition to that kind of strategy. You still need to be careful about targeting, you can check the table above because sneak ability still takes priority over equal opportunity. Round 1, is still the first round, I wanted to just show how important could be the taunt monster. If you cannot eliminate Ketralba that round, It could be a disaster :) Round 3, we lost a bunch of cannon fodder after our Myclecic Slipspawn was killed, but still our main cannon is in the game, In Quora we trust :) Round 4, now it will be very difficult to lose that battle, Bloolusted Buffed Quora is almost unstopable, Final Blow - Round 5 - 6/6 and after that killed another buff :). Game over :D Ketralba was dangerous but this time our taunt setup with Quora was just better :). The Quora Towershead was still too strong :). The opponent got a nice plan and a very massive damage output. Additionally, most of his/her units have higher speed. The only problem was any defense all the monsters were very fragile and easy to eliminate with an opportunity ruleset. Sometimes a taunt unit is a must. I think the better result could be accomplished with some martyr units as cannon fodder to buff those great damage dealers. All-in strategy wasnt the best solution here, but as you could see the Ketralba with 9 melee damage was quite scary. One more thing I want to address is targeting. It wasn't so much important in that battle, because we had taunter, which helped my opponent a little bit. Otherwise, some of his/her monsters would attack the last unit, some just the lower HP unit. This is not an easy situation to assess, due to many factors, but usually spread damage is not the most effective strategy.
We continue our game from the previous week, today new battle, new card to win :).
I come up with some ideas, I hope you will like them and participate. Every week I will publish one battle, and your goal is to point out the first victim of the battle and who will be the winner. This game is exactly the same as my prediction game which I run on my Wednesday Splinterlands.tv stream. I know that not everyone can attend the stream, so I hope you will still have fun in that way. More about the rules can be read here.
Among all participants who get the correct answer, I will randomly (probably on my Wednesday stream) choose one winner.
The prize of the blog prediction game for the lucky winner will be the epic card:
Here we got the battle:
Game instruction:
Try to point out which monster will die first on the battlefield and who wins the battle

Examples: t2b = monster on the second position of top player dies first, the bottom player wins b6t = monster on the sixth position of bottom player dies first, the top player wins t3t = monster on the third position of top player dies first, the top player wins Previous articles:
