Amigos de @hivebookclub. Esta mañana muy temprano @lacaracola me hizo reflexionar a propósito de una frase que yo citaba del poema " Primera Elegía de Duino" que pertenece al libro Las "Elegías de Duino" de Rainer María Rilke. Y como una frase fuera de contexto es un pretexto, me senté a leer una vez más los 10 poemas que componen el libro.
De pronto me encontré frente a una de las obras más significativas de la poesía del siglo XX, en mi opinión un hito en la producción literaria del autor, y no sólo eso sino que Las Elegías de Duino, por acá por nuestra isla y particularmente en nuestro pueblo, se constituyó una lectura obligada para todo aspirante a poeta. Como un tipo de credencial, de ejercicio de validación literaria.
Diez poemas, diez elegías que nos dejan ver la búsqueda de significado y la exploración de lo que somos frente a la muerte, la existencia y lo trascendental.
En el castillo de Duino, que se ubica en la costa del Adriático, Rilke se sintió influenciado por el paisaje, la historia y el profundo sentido de la vida y la muerte, influencia que creo, que al igual que a los escritores de mi tiempo, impulsó a muchos poetas y escritores de la historia.
¡Qué invitación hermosa hace Rilke al lector a una contemplación profunda y filosófica de si mismo y las circunstancias.
Allí en esas diez elegías encontramos un lirismo profundo, musicalidad y una intensa carga emocional bien disttibuida para no asfixiar, para que cada fórmula poética lleve la cuota justa de belleza.
Me atraen las imágenes vívidas y simbólicas que usa como queriendo dejarnos ver la angustia existencial y su lucha con el sentido de la vida.
He leído cada poema como un viaje quizas @lacaracola no imaginó esta mañana que sus palabras me llevarían a releer, a confrontar mis emociones y pensamientos sobre la mortalidad y la búsqueda de la belleza en medio de la tristeza.
Uno de los temas que mas me toca, es la relación entre el ser humano y lo divino, esa conexión íntima entre el mundo material y el espiritual, que siempre está presente en mi, en la propia poesía de Rilke, sugiriendo que la plenitud de la vida se encuentra en la aceptación de la muerte y en el reconocimiento de nuestra fragilidad.
La famosa línea "¡porque lo bello es el inicio de lo terrible" se escucha a lo largo de las elegías, a mi me invitó a apreciar cada instante y a encontrar significado en la fugacidad de la existencia e invertir la ecuación; o sea que, aun lo terrible puede ser el origen de lo bello. Pienso en la zarza ardiendo ante Moisés, los cuerpos destrozados en Güernica, elevados a la eternidad en la mirada de Picasso, pienso en Aschwits, en Gasa, en el silencio de los corderos. Entonces comprendo mejor las Cartas a un joven poeta, y pienso en la terrible claridad de Rilque con las que nos legó semejante belleza.
Su recomendación a buscar dentro, a no repetir campos estéticos comunes sino adentrarnos en el campo de batalla que es el propio ser. Establecer los márgenes debidos entre lo sacro y lo profano, lo cierto y lo falso, lo útil h lo fatuo, lo sublime y lo vulgar, la poesía y el bodrio intelectualoide.
El amor, la fe, la muerte, la rutina, el estado intrascendente, la pasión y la esperanza, además de la búsqueda interior; son los temas por donde transitan las Elegías.
Pues nada aquí está una obra maestra que en mi opinión trasciende el tiempo y el espacio. Imprescindible como lectura, indispensable como manual de creación y apreciación poética.
