Esta es una Suite para Coro y Orquesta con instrumentos étnicos que compuse hace unos 3 o 4 años y formó parte de la producción Somos de El Sistema Zulia. Para esta composición me basé en los cantos ancestrales de la etnia Anú que son los pueblos de agua originarios de esta zona de Venezuela desde tiempos pre-Colombinos y cuya cultura se encuentra al borde de la extinción ya que solo les queda un Añú Hablante nato llamado Jofris Marquez (Caraco) al cual llegué gracias al apoyo de mi querida amiga la profesora Gretzy Atencio. Basándome en la música que estos dos cultores guardianes me mostraron nació esta obra que es la primera de una serie de Suites que ya les iré mostrando próximamente.

La estructura de esta Suite tiene 3 momentos característicos. El primero se llama Paruta (Que traduce pájaro o pajarito) y es una especie de canto tradicional infantil. El segundo es un episodio orquestal donde se recrea una especie de paisaje ancestral. Y finalmente desarrollé un Canon a 8 voces sobre una melodía de mi amiga Gretzy Atencio llamada Jota Kairana (Salta la Rana) otra canción infantil en lengua Añú.

Esta versión de su Estreno Mundial fue grabada en el mes de julio del año 2016 en directo desde la Sala Simón Bolívar del Centro de Acción Social por la Música (Sede Nacional de El Sistema en Caracas) que es la mejor sala que tenemos en el país. Cuenta con una delegación conformada por mas de 80 músicos entre orquesta y coro integrantes de diferentes núcleos del estado Zulia acompañados además por varios de sus profesores ensamblando este maravilloso encuentro memorable que llamamos "Apadrinados" (el concierto) y el disco Somos.

This is a Suite for Choir and Orchestra with ethnic instruments that I composed about 3 or 4 years ago and was part of the production Somos of El Sistema Zulia. For this composition I based myself on the ancestral chants of the Anú ethnic group, which are the water people that originated in this area of ​​Venezuela since pre-Columbian times and whose culture is on the verge of extinction since they only have one Añú Born speaker Jofris Marquez (Caraco) to which I arrived thanks to the support of my dear friend Professor Gretzy Atencio. Based on the music that these two guardian cultists showed me, this work was born, which is the first of a series of Suites that I will show you soon.

This version of its World Premiere was recorded in July 2016 live from the Simón Bolívar Room of the Center for Social Action for Music (El Sistema National Headquarters in Caracas) which is the best room we have in the country . It has a delegation consisting of more than 80 musicians between orchestra and choir members from different nuclei of Zulia state accompanied by several of their teachers assembling this wonderful memorable meeting that we call "Sponsors" (the concert) and the album Somos.
