_Omission of the full truth, results to telling a partial Truth or partial Lie. Why do people tend to omit the truth and cover it up with a lie, even when they know fully well that, this is not the actual truth, that they are saying. Infact, I don't think that, someone will omit a truth to replace it with a lie, without knowing what they are doing, because come to think of it, it is very hard to even replace a truth or a lie and still maintain the story or the statement to look real, you have to be alert and Active for you to get it done. However, don't you think that there's a reason for that? Can someone just come up and purposely omit the truth without a purpose for that action? These are questions we need to ask ourselves._
_I will bring in my Profession here; Like Many people might know, I'm a Registered Nurse/Midwife. One of the ethics and etiquette of my profession is_ **_Confidentiality,_** _We have accepted to die with the truth, instead of letting the inappropriate person know about it. This happened everyday, like a daily routine. In time where relatives are pressuring you, that you disclose the Health status of your patient; their relations, you hold back most valid information about the current health status of the patient, as far as he or she didn't authorize you to do so. Instead of leaving them, you still need to care for them and their psychological aspect, you will need to encourage them and you tell them so stories relating to the patient but omitting the real truth in the whole story. It happens and we see and do so daily._
_Another way This can happen in my profession is When a patient health condition is worsen and you know, psychological factors are affected and influenced by physiological factors. There are some information you don't tell to your patient no matter what. For Example, You just Admitted a patient that went down with Stroke and partial Paralysis of the right upper limbs, and the Blood Pressure is high, giving 180/120 mmHg. When you try to stabilize this patient and at the point your patient can talk and he or she asked you questions about her Health condition and status. As a trained Health Practitioner you already know that, your patient is entitled and has the right to get detailed information about his or her health state, but then, looking at the health condition, if you download these information as they are to the patient immediately, there's every possiblity that this same patient can go into_ **_Shock_** _which can affect the paralysis again, because Shock can lead to Stroke and from stroke, limited blood supply to paralysis again._
_There are Lies we say to say a life or protect a positive interest. The honest truth is that everyone have engage in that, in one way or the other. But then, when you now make it part of you and part of your living, it becomes a habits and lifestyles. For me, there are time we do omission that saves ourselves that even the full truth would have taken our lives. Therefore, it is important to create a balance and to know when it is necessary to omit the truth._
