Patrice Lumumba nació el 2 de julio de 1925 en Katako-Kombe, distrito de Sunkuru, provincia de Kasai, en el entonces Congo Belga (hoy República Democrática del Congo).
Patrice Lumumba was born on July 2, 1925 in Katako-Kombe, Sunkuru district, Kasai province, in the then Belgian Congo (now the Democratic Republic of Congo).
Lumumba fue un destacado revolucionario y líder anticolonial y uno de los mayores exponentes del panafricanismo del siglo XX. Promovió la unidad de la Madre África y encabezó la lucha por la independencia del Congo frente al criminal dominio belga. con el objetivo de construir un Estado basado en la soberanía popular, la justicia social y la igualdad.
Lumumba was an outstanding revolutionary and anti-colonial leader and one of the greatest exponents of Pan-Africanism in the 20th century. He promoted the unity of Mother Africa and led the struggle for the independence of the Congo from the criminal Belgian rule, with the aim of building a state based on popular sovereignty, social justice and equality.

AFRICA WILL WRITE ITS OWN HISTORY, AND IN THE NORTH AS WELL AS IN THE SOUTH, IT WILL BE A HISTORY OF GLORY AND DIONITY.
