Take Care

Today was a doctor's appointment day. It's been almost two months since my husband's surgery, and not a single day has gone by without him suffering from headaches. He no longer knows how many pills he takes every day. It's not the first time I've accompanied him. He still feels weak, and when his head hurts, he prefers to talk as little as possible, so I help him express everything he feels to the doctor. I have been a direct witness to his recovery and know firsthand how hard he is fighting to get better. All the doctors tell him the same thing: “You have to be patient. This takes time.” And in theory, they're right. I'm sure they're doing everything they can to improve the patient's life and that medicine often needs its own process, its own pace. But how long do we have to wait? They don't really know what it means to ask for patience from someone who lives with pain every day, someone who is awakened by pain in the middle of the night, someone who wants to go out but whose weakness prevents him from walking for long! I don't think anyone knows, except him and me! Although we are aware that nothing will ever be the same, we just wait for the moment when a little peace arrives. In the meantime, life must go on, and work and daily routine make this mission of accompaniment a little more bearable. ![IMG_8592.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mballesteros/244KQpiUej2x9bpD7aFBLfUMSHRut8f7TpfKv1Z9VpQ4tFwGGEQJeJL21EKwcXZoy7JX6.jpg) I have promised myself to take better care of my health. I cannot afford to get sick. Although sometimes illness strikes without warning, you always have to be alert to the signs your body gives you. Any unexpected result can turn everything upside down again, and things are easier to resolve when they are discovered in time. Have you ever asked yourself how well you are taking care of your health? Are you eating well, getting enough rest, listening to your body, etc.? When we are young and in good health, we tend to see illness as something distant, until one day it knocks on our door or that of a family member. You still have time to reflect on whether you are doing what is necessary to preserve that great gift of good health! Take it seriously! ![IMG_8389.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mballesteros/23wX7v9sWjqp8SQxtfA4gT78voHghRw4uz1Xw6KyG4QZvTwUAPNjkoKv7qhCPcoz8dfPt.jpg) #### Thanks for stopping by. Take care! ☆☆☆ ![SeparadorHive.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/mballesteros/23t7YWoN53XUARh93PVvS9mqaVjjjMGSNi6uJUMjKptGwBVoiTyadsRVjRPAE27xgxsc7.png)
