I see on a near-daily basis people criticizing the government for imposing these restrictions but failing to recognise it is their own acquiescence that gives governments the green light to enforce them in the first place.
The politicians aren't the problem here — you are. The more you comply, the more they take. Remember when it was just "two weeks to flatten the curve?"
"If we just do as they say, they'll give us our freedoms back". Well, I'm sorry, but that's just not how it works. You cannot comply your way out of tyranny (h/t random internet meme), you have to actually say NO and DISOBEY.
