Saludos amigos

Greetings friends

Returning to training after a pleasant break. I started my week of training with track work, which used to be the hardest part of my training, but over time it has become a priority in my planning. I continue to train in the mornings, which is really the best time for everything, as it gives me more time to spend with my daughter. And after a little break, it's a bit hard to get started, it was difficult for me, I started warming up to see if it would get me going, I did 4 laps of the stadium, and little by little I started to get going. The speeds planned for today were the long ones, the ones that seem endless. I started with 1200 metres, maintaining a pace of 5:04, starting slower and finishing a little faster, as it should be, recovering over 400 metres. Then I did the 800-metre speed run, also with the same strategy, starting more cautiously and pushing harder at the end, with the same 400-metre recovery. However, the last 400-metre speed run, which is supposed to be the fastest, was just one lap around the stadium. well, I started out desperately, super fast, and what a mess, I felt like halfway through, I was fading, I couldn't move my legs so fast, all my fuel was gone, well, a feeling I've felt before but not as pronounced as today, and this was the result of a bad strategy at the start, with paces that my body still can't handle.

I finished my last sprint, still at a good pace even though I had run out of fuel to give more, and ended my training with two recovery laps. The lesson learned today is not to neglect strategy, as it greatly affects our performance, and this is something we learn over time, because until you experience it, and fall, and fall again, you learn. That's how human beings are.
