Greetings friends
Tuesday, short sprints of 200 metres, an important part of our training as runners as it really helps us improve our cardiovascular capacity, muscular endurance and maximum VO2, which refers to the body's ability to consume oxygen efficiently, helping us to maintain lower speeds than usual for longer, and this is what we runners work hard to increase. These speeds are my favourite because the torture doesn't last too long, ha ha ha. Because speeds are a tough but necessary part of training in order to improve. It is very important to warm up before starting any training, so warm up for approximately 2 kilometres before starting this intense training, and I recommend that it be 2 kilometres or 15 minutes. It is not just jumping or moving around for a little while; it is a specific amount of time or kilometres determined by experts.
And there's nothing better for this type of training than a track. Unfortunately, where I live, I don't have an athletics track, but I do have a stadium that is also ideal for this type of training. Best of all, the stadium was empty, so I got more out of it because, as it's a baseball stadium, I didn't have to watch out for balls flying back and forth when the clubs that use the stadium were training. When I finished my series, which consisted of nine 200-metre sprints with 200-metre recovery periods, a complete lap of the stadium, I felt very satisfied to have completed it. Then I did a cool-down lap. I finished up pretty sweaty, but happy.
