ENGLISH VERSION
Sunday. Today we had a long training session, so we went to explore a new route with hills, a route that looked promising. We already knew part of the route, but the steep hill section was completely unknown to us. A few days ago, some friends told us about a viewpoint on a mountain, and since they know how much we like to explore, they knew we would be interested. Well, it was a route we had been meaning to do, but between one thing and another, we hadn't been able to. God's timing is perfect, and this Sunday was ideal for this route, with the weather in our favour. We got up early, I prepared my hydration pack, which I never leave behind on my long runs, enjoyed a banana and a cup of coffee, and we set off to meet some friends to do this route. We began our journey of exploration to the San Ramon viewpoint. When we arrived at the entrance where the trail to the viewpoint begins, we were excited because no one had done this route before. We entrusted ourselves to God and set off.
And guess what? We started the slopes, well, almost as steep as the other viewpoint I frequent for slope training. Well, we plucked up our courage and, with short steps and a well-controlled pace, we began the journey. It was two kilometres of slopes, and with our breath well and truly ragged, we reached the viewpoint, and we were surprised by this beautiful place. It looks like something out of a fairy tale, Everything was well laid out, very pretty, with an impressive view of the city, and from there you could see the sea. We stayed there for a while, then returned to continue our long run. I did feel my legs getting a little tired for the descent. We only did 13K on this long run. Long training is very important for gaining aerobic fitness, and even more so if we want to prepare for a marathon.
