Work day at the stadium π°π. Well, here we go. According to the plan, today it's time for long runs, the kind that challenge the power of the mind. For today's training, we went to the stadium early in the morning. Thank God the day dawned with cool weather. I started my training for the day with a warm-up of approximately 2 km at a gentle pace, getting warmed up. After finishing the warm-up, I hydrated, and then the torture began ππ. The first long series I had to do was 3 km, but no way, I started and when I was almost at 1.5 km, I stopped. I felt very tired, and my mind played tricks on me. I didn't feel mentally strong, so unfortunately it got the better of me. I couldn't finish my first speed series, so I stopped, hydrated myself, recovered, and continued on to the second 1.5 km set. My mind continued to control me, so I stopped, hydrated, and went on to the third 1.5 km set, but at a gentle pace. I relaxed, and well, I didn't finish the task for that day in terms of speed, but I did in terms of kilometres. I told myself, well, let's finish the kilometres so that the body doesn't slack off. And this is the hard part about these long sets, because working your mind when you're tired isn't easy. You have to work hard at it. When I finished the four sets, I did a few laps around the stadium while my husband finished his training, which he did to the letter.
Well, that's how training is some days, good, and other days not so good. The important thing is to stay strong and not give up because we fail at one training session. The important thing is to get back up and keep going. And we continue to prepare for CAF 2026.
