Greetings friends
On Wednesday, it was still dark when I got up to do my workout for the day. I switched from afternoons to mornings, and it has been the best decision, first because I have more time for housework and to be with my daughter, helping her with her homework. It is hard to get up even earlier every day, but it is worth it. When I left today, it was still dark, but it quickly cleared up. As I went out with my husband today, we left a little earlier, and with the weather conditions in our favour, we set off on our planned route for the day. Before leaving home, I did some warm-up exercises, activated my Strava and started my training. The first two kilometres were a warm-up, activating my body, then I started to push a little harder to maintain a slower pace for longer, getting my mind used to it, as this is our best or worst ally in a race, so we have to train it to be disciplined, and what we do in training is what we replicate in the race. We're not going to improvise, we're going to apply our strategies, which we have developed and adapted through training.
Today I only jogged 8.27K. I'll tell you that my headphones and phone were out of sync, so I didn't even know what pace I was going at. I just worked with my feelings, but I felt great, with a lot of flow, without pressure. Sometimes it's better not to pay attention to the clock, or times, or anything, just sensations. Well, these things happen. When it's not one thing, it's another, so we must always have a backup plan. Since I wore my watch, I could see a time margin, as it's a normal watch, not a sports watch. I felt very in the flow on this route, happy, everything flowed really well.
