We are delighted to announce the commencement of the 23rd Hive borehole project, and we would like to share an update on the project. Today marks the completion of the first stage of drilling success, an important milestone in every borehole project, as it assesses the community's access to sustainable clean water. The project at Wurapong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana has been diligently started well.

Drilling is always a challenging and labour-intensive task in rural communities, and for these very reasons, it is the most important stage of the project. The reality of drilling is going deep into the earth in search of underground water sources, the access for the community for many years. Without success at this stage, no previous or future plans can take shape. If a borehole hits water at this stage, it is a significant and monumental milestone worth celebrating.

The next stage, mechanisation, is soon to follow. To mechanise involves putting in place a pump, pipes, and other fixtures that allow for uninterrupted, efficient access to be had. It is where the borehole evolves to its full intentions from just a hole on the surface of the ground to a life-giving source to people. It is at this stage of the mechanisation process where the splendour of the project comes alive with water access, just with the stroke of a handle or flick of a switch.

For the people of Wurapong, this moment is a large symbol of hopefulness. For too long they have suffered the hardship of existing without safe drinking water and at times have had to resort to unsafe alternative sources, which impact their health. The drill is the turning point of this story, and with the support of Hive and the support of the local community, another chapter in the community's life can be rewritten.

This event is also reflective of the community's and ecosystem's capabilities within Hive. We are committed to bringing communities access that have not had it. Every borehole is not only water but also dignity, health, and opportunity for far too long marginalised families.

We are excited to be celebrating the positive drill outcome and would like to invite everyone to follow the progress when we commence phase two, and the journey of the 23rd borehole is not over. The most important part is still to come. Soon we will share with you all the experience of free-flowing water and life-changing water and provide communities, like Wurapong, the joy of clean and safe access to water facilitated through Hive.
