Today, we played Splinterlands again and started Chapter 10, which is all about Elements. In the screenshot below, you can see that we have only 6 more chapters left in Book 1. Today, we are going to complete the Elements chapter and learn about the different elements in the game.

So, Professor Thalos Greystone taught us about Elements, and in the screenshot below you can see that while your Archons determines which units you can play with, the battle rules can further restrict the use of certain elements. Over time, by winning, losing, and facing different opponents, we will get a better understanding of how these mechanics actually work. Today is going to be our first battle where we will be restricted from using certain elements. So let us see how it goes, I am quite excited to experience it.

In the screenshots below, the professor once again explained the different elements, Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, and Dragon. By hovering over them, we can also see which ones are available for the battle.

In the screenshot below, you can see that the two active elements available for this battle are Life and Death. So, let us see which one we are going to use in this fight.

The only option we had to take into the battle was Thalgrimore, which belongs to the Death element. We are going to use it, and in the screenshot below you can see that it has an ability of -1 Health. This means the opponent team will see their health reduced by 1 because our Archon is Thalgrimore.

The battle started, as you can see in the screenshot below, and honestly I had no idea what was going to happen. But surprisingly, I did not even lose a single card today and won the entire battle, thanks to my primary card, which was quite strong.

The speed of my first card was 3, and that really helped because sometimes when the opponent attacked, they missed. If you remember from our recent Splinterlands campaign lessons, we learned how important speed is and how having higher speed can help a card dodge incoming attacks.

Finally, you can see in the screenshot below the rewards we earned from completing Chapter 10.

I am going to explore them later because it is already 12:30 AM here, and I am very tired and ready to sleep. But I really enjoyed learning about Elements, and I want to play more battles like this. Let us see when the next ones come, and I will share them with you.
