Greetings to all the readers here,

We all have to go through the different phases of life. I am 26 years old already, and I have lived my childhood, my teenage years, and now I am in my 20s. Life changes in each of these phases. The change is big enough that you are going to notice it very well. You get mature, you learn new things, you understand how life works, and most importantly, you start valuing the people around you.

Today my grandma visited us after almost a year. She rarely comes to the city as she is quite old now, and generally we are the ones who visit the village to meet her. But as my other grandma, who is my paternal grandmother, is sick, my maternal grandma came to meet her.

After meeting her today, I got a little nostalgic because I started thinking about all the things I used to do in my childhood with my cousins at my grandma's house. The way we used to play on the terrace, the way we used to sleep together on the terrace and feel the cold wind blow while looking at the stars. I just cannot find anything which has given me more peace than that view.

Me and my grandma were not on the same page for quite some time due to a lot of reasons. She comes from a generation where people used to think differently. I am from a generation where we think differently, and that is why there were a few things on which we did not agree. Because of that, there was a bad time between us for almost a year.

I am quite sad that I did that to my grandma even though I know I was right, and maybe she was also right in her own world and the generation from where she comes from. But today I feel like I have wasted a year. It should have not been like this. And as I said in my initial paragraph, we start to value people as time passes, and that is exactly what I am doing right now.

They are the elder and deserve respect and I think maybe the good thing is to not try to explain them too much about the things going on in the current generation and current era, because it might be very difficult for them to understand. It is better to try to keep your relationship with the elders normal and not go too much into stuff where you have to discuss the things going on in your life. That is how life can go on properly, in my opinion.

So yes, I am happy that my grandma is here. She is staying at our place for today, and I hope she stays here for more days so that I can spend more time with her. I am happy to see her. May God bless her, and may God protect the grandma and parents of everyone reading this.

Thank you.
