After our trip to Bacolod City, we had other activities scheduled for the following days. My sister invited us to go swimming at the beach in Dauin, Negros Oriental. We are talking about a 60-kilometer distance here. 😀But for family bonding, distance doesn't matter. We even crossed the sea to reach Negros Oriental from Cebu.
So we were set to travel early in the morning to reach the venue by breakfast time. My sister and her family have a favorite place to go whenever they want to take a dip in the sea. The place is called Uzi's Beach.

When we arrived at the place, they were already there enjoying their time snorkeling. The area happened to have a protected sanctuary for fish and corals. I have not tried snorkeling. My sister insisted that I try to see the corals and the fish. So I did! With a life vest, snorkel mask on, we started snorkeling. And Yes! It was a beauty to see the corals and the fish. It was my first time, and I was in awe to see God's creation underwater. If I had an underwater camera, I would have taken pictures of what I saw. Unfortunately, I did not have one. 😀 I did not spend so much time with that water activity. I am not really a person who loves the water. 😀 With my husband's help, he assisted me in going back to shore.
We spend the rest of our stay there with the children, enjoying the waves. It was high tide when we arrived in the morning. Eventually, low tide came.
At 3 PM, we packed our stuff and headed back to my Papa's home in Bais City. Our children wanted to stay for a few more minutes, but we told them we needed to go.
It was a great way of letting our children enjoy and connect with nature. It is not every day that we can go to the beach to swim, relax, and chill. Since we live in the city, we don't get opportunities like these regularly. We live far from the beach.
Our children's faces were sunburned! Evidence that they enjoyed their time.
