Reporting Live at Steemit In Nigeria 2 state of blockchain

I am reporting live as the Secretary of the publicity crew of Steemit in Nigeria (SIN²).

First of all, Steemit In Nigeria is an annual event. It is a sequel of SIN 1 which was celebrated at Ile Ife, Nigeria.

Today's program, 31st October 2018 which topic is ALL ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN and we have our speakers here and our Master of ceremony. The speakers are @iamchrisani, @fisteganos and @xpency. While, our master of ceremony is @mediahousent

Different questions were directed to our speakers such as:

QUESTION ONE What is Blockchain and how does it come into existence?

@xpency which was the first speaker spoke about blockchain. He explained blockchain as an exchange made in a ledger and also a transaction which can be made and can not be repeated. He stated that transactions attached to a blockchain are cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, ethereum, steem and many more. @xpency also explained that in every blockchain, a public key is provided to ensure peer-to-peer transaction. He also stated that bitcoin brings humility.

QUESTION TWO

How does the blockchain work and what makes it unique?

@fisteganos also explained the blockhain as a ledger and he said that bitcoins has a block of ten minutes and he said that blockchain can be used to reduce abortion rate.

@botefarm directed a question to @fisteganos.

"What happens to cases of wallets being hacked on the blockchain?"

@fisteganos said that a security has been placed on blockchain technology and a wallet can only be tampered with if you provided your private key to other people.

@official-hord gave a conclusion on the question directed to @fisteganos. He stated that a wallet can also be hacked by clicking on some airdrop sites that are not legit, he also suggested on keeping your private keys offline.

QUESTION THREE

Shoukd BLOCKCHAIN technologies exist without cryptocurrencies?

Chris Ani gave an example of record keeping, he also explained that blockchain can work without a token. Blockchain is loud because the first application is finance.

@japfive talked about a lady who asked how we can use blockchain to solve electricity.

Chris Ani replied that it is possible to solve electricity on the blockchain

@japfive mentioned that in few months, it will be possible to solve electricity in the blockchain.
