My art for peace

Peace is one of the things we need the most in our world today. With the conflict and the wars going on in several regions of the world today, there has never been a better time for peace than now. Many innocent people, including women and children have lost their lives due to these conflicts and wars. The thing about these wars and conflicts is that there usually is no winner. It's just destruction upon destruction, loss upon loss. People get to suffer. Hundreds to thousands of people get displaced from their homes, with little or no hope of where to find shelter and safety. We've seen the use of more deadly weapons that have caused mass destruction. This is why the international day of peace is important. It is a day that can be used to advocate for peace and it's importance. September as a whole should be used to advocate for peace. Let me introduce you to my art to commemorate the international day for peace. I drew an art of the earth, a dove and leaves. I tried to give it a feeling of nature. The tools I used were: * Pencil * Paper * Coloured markers * Gum * Leaves **Steps** Step 1 First, I drew a semicircle to represent the earth. I drew some designs within the circle. I also drew it's eyes and a smiling mouth. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmeuypwm4oWJXSj3RAgoDKEsqzNMA3BHujrUSHTJqXNX4S/img_20250921_121226.jpg) Step 2 I drew a dove on top of the semicircle I drew earlier. I also drew twigs containing leaves on both sides of the semicircle. After drawing, I made the outline bold. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmT6KaL49KvEy44PShDigZNuDwA7kgJjWnxiwwWisvPpax/img_20250921_121252.jpg) Step 3 I painted some of the designs within the circle with green markers. I also painted the little circles bordering the mouth with red markers. Next, I painted the leaves of the twig with green. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmW2vzbeCj1tLkmjQUge14Di3jZhWWa4ctkAXH1xiuKDEm/img_20250921_121318.jpg) Step 4 I shaded the edges of the dove. I also wrote peace at the top with my blue marker and I drew the peace sign with my green marker. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmW2vzbeCj1tLkmjQUge14Di3jZhWWa4ctkAXH1xiuKDEm/img_20250921_121318.jpg) Step 5 I shaded the edges of the dove with my blue marker ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYtXFcfLBQAswnxswGprASKhVbTpJYDaPSx8KTQyVJxo7/img_20250921_121512.jpg) Step 6 I applied some gum to the natural leaves I got, and glued the leaves to the paper. It serves as an extra nature design. I also drew a twig attached to the mouth of the dove and colored it green. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmdfUWWxvsP6pyUCsGDSQwkbaVvhAptvAXmt7abCNTgLT9/img_20250921_121603.jpg) That's it. I hope you like my art. The dove is a symbol of peace and that's why I decided to make this art. Peace and nature go hand in hand. Nature is peaceful. As a result, I decided to incorporate natural elements.
