Today I saw a pink frangipani flower while walking from my university to the market. It looked so beautiful. The color was bright and soft—like nature painted it with love. I stopped for a moment and kept looking at it.
Then suddenly, I thought— what if this flower had no color? What if it looked simple and colorless? Would I still stop and look at it for so long? Would I still feel the same?
Just then, I took out my phone and captured the flower… but not in color. I took the photo in black and white.
Why? Because I wanted to feel it without color. I wanted to see— can something still touch the heart even when it has no color?
In the photo, raindrops were resting on its petals. The water had no color… but didn’t it still look calm, soft, and peaceful?
That moment made me realize— Not everything needs color to be beautiful. Some things are quiet. Some things are simple. And some things speak through feelings, not through bright colors.
We always love colorful things. But sometimes, colorless things hold the deepest beauty— only if we see them with our heart.
