On our departmental tour, I had the chance to visit a place I’ve only seen in pictures — a land where the sky feels closer, and the hills whisper peace. We were at the Bangladesh–India border, and just across the horizon stood the beautiful hills of Meghalaya, India. It was my first time seeing such landscapes in real life — and it felt like a dream.
We stood beside a mountain river, its cold water gently flowing over smooth stones. I dipped my feet in the water, and instantly a wave of calmness passed through me. No noise, no crowd — only the soft sound of flowing water, Surprisedly sudden raining and distant hills wrapped in clouds. It felt like time had stopped.
That peaceful moment made me forget everything — the stress of student life, daily pressure, even my tiredness from the journey. I closed my eyes and tried to capture that feeling in my heart. It's hard to describe in words how beautiful and healing nature can be.
This spot, where I stood, is not just a random place. It's symbolic — standing at the edge of my own country, looking into another, and feeling nothing but peace and connection. Borders may divide land, but nature knows no boundaries.
