Mi primera vez como "Representante Suplente" [Esp/Eng]

 **Hola nuevamente, pequeñas personitas.**💛Espero que hayan tenido un buen inicio de semana. Hoy vengo a contarles mi gran aventura: **asistir a mi primera reunión de padres y representantes**… sí, yo, en modo “representante suplente” jasjas. > **Hello again, little ones.**💛I hope you had a good start to the week. Today I'm here to tell you about my big adventure: **attending my first parent-teacher meeting**... yes, me, as a “substitute representative” lol. Mi mamá no se sentía muy bien como para poder ir, así que habló conmigo para pedirme **que yo asistiera en su lugar a esta reunión**. Le dije que sí, no había ningún problema. Pero, claro, esta sería mi primera reunión, así que le pregunté mucho a mi mamá antes de salir: *— ¿Tengo que firmar algo? — ¿Me harán preguntas? — ¿Qué pongo en la hoja de firmas?* **Debía prepararme lo suficiente jasjas😅** > My mom wasn't feeling well enough to go, so she asked me **to attend the meeting in her place**. I said yes, no problem. But, of course, this would be my first meeting, so I asked my mom a lot of questions before leaving: *— Do I have to sign anything? — Will they ask me questions? — What do I put on the signature sheet?* **I had to prepare myself well enough hahaha😅**  En el momento en el que mi hermanita y yo llegamos al colegio, ella se fue a ver su clase, mientras yo me quede esperando la hora de la reunión junto con la mamá de una de sus amiguitas. Cuando llegó la hora, nos llamaron a subir a un salón, y ahí vino mi primera sorpresa: **los papás corren igual que los niños para agarrar sus puestos favoritos**. Me sorprendió ver a tantos padres caminar lo más rápido posible por tener el puesto que ellos querían y poder sentarse al lado de las personas que conocen. > When my little sister and I arrived at school, she went to see her class, while I waited for the meeting time with the mother of one of her friends. When the time came, we were called to go up to a room, and there came my first surprise: **the parents run just like the children to grab their favorite seats**. Apenas me senté, **nos dieron la hoja de firmas** y, por todas las preguntas que le hice a mi mamá, llené toda la hojita bien (*o al menos eso creo*). Cuando comenzaron a dar los puntos importantes en la reunión, **tuve que anotarlos en una libretita**, porque, seguro se me olvidaba, y **no podía llegar a casa con solo la mitad de toda la información** jasjasj😅 > Without any problem, I managed to sit in one of the front seats so I could hear better. As soon as I sat down, **they gave us the signature sheet**, and because of all the questions I asked my mom, I filled out the whole sheet (*or at least I think so*). > When they started discussing the important points at the meeting, **I had to write them down in a notebook**, because I was sure I would forget them, and **I couldn't go home with only half the information** lol😅  Luego, terminó toda la reunión y, me volví a sorprender, pues, **todos los padres salieron como cuando llega la hora de irse y todos los estudiantes corren para salir del colegio**. Fue entonces donde entendí bien aquello que los profesores solían decir en clases: *"así como son los padres, son los hijos"* jasjjsa. Corriendo para entrar al salón, hablando con el compañero, llegando tarde y saliendo casi que empujando a los demás. > Then, the meeting ended, and I was surprised again because **all the parents left as if it were time to go home and all the students were rushing to leave school**. It was then that I fully understood what the teachers used to say in class: children are just like their parents. Running to get into the classroom, talking to classmates, arriving late, and leaving, almost pushing others out of the way. Y así fue como terminó mi primera reunión de padres y representantes, **siendo la hermana mayor que se sentía tan pequeña en ese salón.** > And that's how my first parent-teacher conference ended, **with the older sister feeling so small in that room.**
