Hola amigos hoy fue un día diferente, fuera de lo común pues a medía mañana un grupo de amigas fotógrafas nos unimos a trabajadores de la Casa de África, de la Fototeca histórica y de otros centros para participar del Taller Fotografía "AFROIDENTIDADES" .
En este espacio se habló de la presencia de la mujer afrocubana como fotógrafa, como objeto de la fotografía, de la fotografía en la negritud, donde aprendimos muchos detalles del origen de festividades y celebraciones como el Wemilere que se celebra cada año en el municipio de Guanabacoa donde cada año se le dedica las actividades a un país africano.
Momento especial fue la visita a la Fototeca Histórica donde pudimos apreciar obras de arte que han adquirido de diferentes vías y así lograron tener una gran colección de la historia de la fotografía en Cuba desde que dió a conocer el primer estudio fotográfico, pasando por la memoria fotográfica que guarda la calle O'REILLY que en su momento allí se encontraban ubicados varios estudios hasta nuestros días.
Teniendo en cuenta la temática del Taller en la Fototeca pudimos ver varios tipos de fotografías de mujeres negras en estudios y su espacio habitual, reflejo de su día a día.
Nos quedamos con gran expectativa para los días venideros, ya les contaré, eso sí, les puedo adelantar que estamos en la víspera de las Festividades de La Virgen de La Merced, conocida como Obbatalá en la Regla de Osha así que esperen fotos de esta celebración.

Hello friends, today was a different day, out of the ordinary, because at mid-morning a group of photographer friends joined workers from the Casa de África, the Fototeca histórica and other centers to participate in the Photography Workshop "AFROIDENTIDADES".
In this space we talked about the presence of Afro-Cuban women as photographers, as objects of photography, of photography in blackness, where we learned many details of the origin of festivities and celebrations such as the Wemilere that is celebrated every year in the municipality of Guanabacoa where every year the activities are dedicated to an African country.
A special moment was the visit to the Historical Photo Library where we were able to appreciate works of art that have been acquired in different ways and thus managed to have a large collection of the history of photography in Cuba since the first photographic studio, through the photographic memory that keeps the street O'REILLY that at the time there were located several studios until today.
Taking into account the theme of the Workshop in the Photo Library we were able to see various types of photographs of black women in studios and their usual space, reflecting their daily lives.
We were left with great expectation for the days to come, I will tell you, yes, I can tell you that we are on the eve of the Festivities of La Virgen de La Merced, known as Obbatalá in the Regla de Osha so expect photos of this celebration.
