Hello to all my friends in the Black & White Community,
This is Menati again, and this time I bring you a warm and intimate story from a peaceful autumn day in the heart of the forest.
This photo series captures simple, authentic moments where the subject, a woman, walks along a narrow woodland path, sits among fallen leaves, embraces a bouquet of flowers, and gently smiles—embracing nature within her gaze. In some frames, sunlight streams through the tall, bare branches, casting soft beams of light onto her face and hair. This interplay of light and shadow lends a poetic yet real atmosphere to the images.
In the first image, she sits on the ground, one knee slightly raised, her hand resting gently on her head—a gesture that conveys a quiet moment of reflection. The leaf-strewn ground and narrow dirt path lead into the forest’s depth, adding intimacy and depth to the scene.
In another image, a large bouquet of fresh white flowers rests beside her as she smiles warmly, giving the image a genuine and friendly feel. These frames beautifully illustrate how simplicity can convey true emotion—without pretense or overly staged poses.
In one standing portrait, she leans softly against a large tree trunk, her bouquet in hand. The composition of tree, human presence, soft autumn light, and scattered leaves creates a calm, honest, and real mood.
Lighting on this day was a key challenge. The natural midday light, at times harsh and at times gentle, allowed us to experiment with angles and capture the best moods. Some frames were intentionally wide to include the tall trees and narrow path, making the environment part of the story—not just a background.
