Hola Comunidad #PlantPower(vegan)
Hello #PlantPower(vegan) Community
4 years is a journey full of lessons turned into experiences.
Being part of this community has been a learning experience in many ways: about vegan eating, the ingredients to use in recipes or meals prepared with this approach, and what's healthy for our well-being.
Like every birthday celebration, there should be a dessert to sweeten it all, wishing with sweetness many blessings, attracting all that's sweet to this community.
May everything planned for this new year of life on the #hive platform come true.
For this cake, we used:
1 1/2 cups of wheat flour 1 cup of brown sugar 1/3 cup of vegetable oil 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 tablespoon of lemon 1 cup of water (you can use plant-based milk) 1 teaspoon of vanilla (optional)
To combine the ingredients, first preheat the oven. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, baking soda, salt.
Now, add the liquid ingredients: oil, vanilla, lemon, and finally, water to the dry ingredients to achieve the right consistency. Mix everything well, without over-beating.
Use a baking dish approximately 16 cm in diameter. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted comes out clean.
Se deja reposar y esperar para colocar un topping.
Let it rest and wait to add the topping.
For the frosting, we used:
½ cup vegan butter 2½ cups powdered sugar 1 to 2 tablespoons plant-based milk; oat milk was used in this recipe 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon cocoa powder pinch salt (optional)
Beat the butter at room temperature for 2 to 3 minutes. Sift the powdered sugar to prevent lumps, add it to the butter, and beat at medium speed. Stir in the liquids (1 tablespoon at a time) and vanilla until you achieve a smooth, creamy texture. If it's too thick, add a little more milk, and if it's too soft, add more powdered sugar.
